and I'm bouncing off the walls!!!!!!!

how did a thread about DUI get so far out in left field.

Oh that's right - biblewonk said women should know and stay in their place and stay out of politics.

That thread went WAY out there! I heard from one of my neighbors that there is supposed to be a family out here that is so into that patriarchal religion stuff that the husband "chastises" his wife by spanking her, no kidding! I told her it just sounded like they were kinky, and she just howled. Surely that religion isn't carried that far?

Evening! No one was around earlier when I was online so I just played around all day! By tacit agreement, the courts have used a letter that Thomas Jefferson wrote to a congregation of Baptists as a basis to rule on religion in our society.

Nothing tacit about this. A "celebration" Honoring the 9/11 Hijackers pisses me off, and I say we ought to round every one of them up, haul them to GITMO, and seize their assets, and bomb their homes.

However, my current activities are double-secret.

Scarlet is the sequel by Alexandra Ripley where she goes to ireland. Texan5 was talking about a version where she went to south America which I've never heard of and wanted to find. I adore GWTW and Scarlet. I have read a few places that there were 2 authorized sequels but the only one I could find the name of was the one i have already read. I couldn't even find an author for the second. Maybe you could ask your sis for me if she knows of it? :)

Man I am in so much trouble soon. The little girl is really close to being a toddler. Today she's been bold enough to let go while standing up a few times. I think she could very well take her first steps in the next few weeks. She's not going to be an easy one like the boy was. She has a temper and grins at you when you tell her no and spank her hand when she's into stuff she can't play with.

No kidding! It is probably not true, but but it could be, because there is a lot that goes on out here in the middle of nowhere that people would'nt do in a city or town neighborhood. Loud parties until the wee hours, rather open nudity (some people even have telescopes on their decks and balconies to watch their neighbors cavorting and skinny dipping), spouse swapping, etc. No one calls the law, and everyone minds their own business. However, if you indulge in raunchy or weird behavior, you will become the topic of conversation at the gas station, feed store, day care, or anywhere else people stop on their way home from work by the following day. Add to that the workplace itself-8 of my hubby's co-workers, and 5 of the subs I work with live out here. We don't even yell at each other unless the windows are closed, and God forbid, never outside-sound really carries over water.
