Everyone I know who has tried the oxyclean was underwhelmed to say the least about the stuff.

"Tacity" is okay. I'm sure you'll get a grade from Miss Rika for being original.

I thought Arnie's interview from 26 years ago was honest. He was 29 years old. Single. Full of testosterone (and probably steroids at that time). He was making a name for himself. He lived in Venice, CA, for goodness sake. Now that's a beach town that is quite quirky. It was a hippie haven then as it is now, although the hippies are aging.

I don't agree with what he did, but what he did was everywhere in that part of CA. That's why CA needs someone who is sort of conservative, otherwise, they're going to get Bustamante who would love to give CA, AZ and NM back to Mexico.

And that's just my opinion.

I would love to see McClintock become Governor, but it just ain't going to happen.

i totally agree, slippy. pragmatism over idealism. arnold could conceivably win, doesn't matter how good McClintock is, if he can't. arnold was brutally honest, and matter of fact in that interview. i had no problems with it. he is, who he is, and he isn't pretending otherwise.

I had a moment of sadness this morning when LulaBelle and I took a quick walk. My former next door neighbors had three younguns, and as I passed their former front yard I missed the assortment of crap that was always out there...there were no cleats on the mailbox, there wasn't a sandal that had been runover in the driveway, and there were no bicycles and skateboards. Instead, everything is tidy, and the lady that lives there is a chronic whiner. I miss those kids!!!

Footloose was an okay movie, but it was no Flashdance!

Really? I swear by it. Maybe it's the difference in water. Who knows. xs uses it, too. Hmmm.

Slip, you might be right about the water being the problem - my water now is very, very different from the stuff in Dover, and that was the water they all had used.

I'll give it a shot.

bleach might be a bit more effective, but it will eat holes in clothes. xsboy's uniform shirt is a white polo in summer and white oxford in winter, oxyclean won't eat the shirt or discolor the lettering on it, for the school name logo, bleach does.

I agree, he was young, ambitious for the press, and telling them what they wanted to hear.

Maybe this prisoners fellow inmates should have tacitly suggested he go on a diet before their escape attempt (or at least told him to go to the end of the line): Fat Prisoner Accidently Prevents Mass Escape

It was fun indeed, but I don't think it was such a grand epic that it ought to be re-made. I really can't stand Britney Spears as it is. I do wish some studio would re-make something like "Gone With the Wind", or some of those neat musicals that I've never seen except on TV because they were before my time. And put actors in them that know how to keep their politics to themselves so I won't feel compelled to boycott them.

Every now and again, I will remove my bra as she did in Flashdance. It always gets Cyber's attention. LOL!

I guess I will have to give it a try.

The school district doesn't have a uniform, but the preschool has one of sorts.

Navy or khaki skirts or slack, yellow, white or navy tops.

To make my life easier in buying school clothes for the Jax, I'm sticking with that color scheme!!!

Those kids were great, for the most part. The youngest even named a kitten after Flurry. I have a pic of the girl sitting with little puppy Lu in Lu's kennel.

No, I'm not dead. (I think.) I'm back.

This is just my tacit way of reminding you all that the time to start your Christmas shopping is coming up very soon now. You're welcome.

Oh, and this sweet tribute to motherhood helps remind me why it's so fortunate for the world that I never had kids. Most of my acquaintances would probably tell you that this could have been me.
