I waited for you
The sun kept the time
The moon watched you
I waited
The stars had a view of you
That I could not see
The night embraced you
I waited
The day gave birth to you
Your joy rose again
In you eyes in the morning
I waited
The time and distance
Are not so far,
Drawing near
I see your sillohette
In the mist,
dancing in the wind
I am waiting

Beautiful Poem!
Makes me wish that I was a dragonfly - or even a housefly, if it meant that I could hang out in your back yard.

My little contribution for today to share with my new friends.
Never Forget
A pretty autumn morning,
The sky so clear and blue.
But soon the peace was shattered,
They hit the towers two.
Our Pentagon assaulted,
Americans were killed.
Some heroes saved one target,
By crashing in a field.
It seems like it just happened,
Its been two years today.
So take a solemn moment,
I hope that most will pray.
God bless our troops and leaders,
Give guidance to us all.
For only with your blessing,
Will this great evil fall.

Good going, bentfeather. I am happy to see this thread thriving. I have so missed "The Poetry Branch" being here.
Gotta run now. Be back later.
