My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

If I Could Catch A Rainbow
If I could catch a rainbow,
I would do it just for you,
And share with you its beauty
On the days you're feeling blue.
If I could, I would build a mountain
You could call your very own -
A place to find serenity,
A place just to be alone.
If I could, I would take your troubles
And toss them into the sea;
But all these things
I'm finding, are impossible for me.
I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair;
But let me be what I know best:
A Friend who's always there!
I promise to defend you,
Should the occasion ever arise;
And I promise to wipe away the tears,
Which might stream from your weeping eyes.
Let me be the trusted Friend;
The one that you know best.
I will never leave you....
On that - you can surely rest.

Good morning SAM, feather.
Can't listen to the music until I get home from work. :(
I'm sure it's wonderful!

My little contribution for today to share with my new friends.
Never Forget
A pretty autumn morning,
The sky so clear and blue.
But soon the peace was shattered,
They hit the towers two.
Our Pentagon assaulted,
Americans were killed.
Some heroes saved one target,
By crashing in a field.
It seems like it just happened,
Its been two years today.
So take a solemn moment,
I hope that most will pray.
God bless our troops and leaders,
Give guidance to us all.
For only with your blessing,
Will this great evil fall.

Thank you Sam. Good morning, everyone.

Where were you in 9/01?
So many lives had just begun
We all saw the shining sun
Rise and turn the towers to gold
Morning cars came rushing in
Fortunes there to lose or win
Kids went off to school again
No time left to kiss or hold
Then evil came out of the skies
Men and women and children died
A city once so strong and free
Was made to bow on bended knee
Then heroes came across the land
And gave us all their hearts and hands
To clear the ground, to see the sun
Where were you in 9/01?

Fragmentary Blue
Why make so much of fragmentary blue
In here and there a bird, or butterfly,
Or flower, or wearing-stone, or open eye,
When heaven presents in sheets the solid hue?
Since earth is earth, perhaps, not heaven (as yet)--
Though some savants make earth include the sky;
And blue so far above us comes so high,
It only gives our wish for blue a whet.

Thanks, here's what I wrote this morning for the Man in Black.
Farewell
We all know that boy named Sue,
And heard that train a comin.
We all loved his craggy voice,
And the guitar he was strummin.
We'll miss ol John but he'll be here,
We'll hear him in our hearts.
He's gone home to be with June,
And now the music starts.

I don't have the application on my desk top. If it's the Flag song that is a great one.

"That Ragged Old Flag"
I walked through a county courthouse square
On a park bench, an old man was sittin there.
I said, "Your court house is kinda run down,
He said, "No, it will do for our little town".
I said "your old flag pole kinda leaned a little bit,
And thats a ragged old flag you got hanging on it".
He said "have a seat", so I sat down,
He said, "is this your first visit to our little town"
I said, "I think it is"
He said "I dont like to brag, but were kinda proud of
"That Ragged Old Flag"
"You see, we got a little hole in that flag there,
When Washington took it across the Delaware.
It got powder burned the night Francis Scott Key sat watching it, writing
"Oh Say Can You See"
It got a rip in New Orleans, with Packingham & Jackson tugging at its seams.
It almost fell at the Alamo beside the Texas flag,
But she waved on tho.
It got cut with a sword in Chancellorsville,
Got cut again at Shiloh Hill.
There was Robert E. Lee and Beauregard and Bragg,
And the south wind blew hard on
"That Ragged Old Flag"
On Flanders Field in World War I,
She took a bad hit from a Bertha Gun,
She turned blood red in World War II
She hung limp and low by the time that one was through,
She was in Korea, Vietnam, She went where she was sent by her Uncle Sam.
The Native Americans, The Black, Yellow and White
All shed red blood for the Stars and Stripes.
And here in her own good land,
Shes been abused, burned, dishonored, denied and refused,
And the very government for which she stands
Has been scandalized throughout out the land.
And shes getting thread bare, and shes wearing kinda thin,
But shes in pretty good shape, for the shape shes in.
Cause shes been through the fire before
and she can take a whole lot more.
So we raise her up every morning
And we bring her down slow every night,
We dont let her touch the ground,
And we fold her up right.
On second thought I do like to brag
Cause Im mighty proud of
"That Ragged Old Flag"
Written by Johnny Cash
