                  | My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky
 I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
 through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
 my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Sis will probably correct some of this, but here goes:

The night has come, the leaves have fallen -mine until 'the leaves'
And amid the ashes of what once was, I stand - Mine
Staring at the glow-worm sparks of my pyre -Mine
My heart is aching, nay is breaking for the love I'd lost but never found -Sis
There in the dark I weep, my tears fall to the ground - Sis
There is a soft wind around, picking leaves up at my feet -Sis
Such silence, such emptiness, not even a heart beat -Sis until 'not even a heartbeat'
A broken heart that beats no more -Sis
I hide myself behind a mask, a smiling mask -Sis until 'a smiling mask'
Always... always -Sis
...nevermore... -Mine

Sis, that about the right breakdown? Or did I overlook something again?

    Here it is, "Under Shadow"

Hello, I'm sorry.
I didn't see you sitting there.
It seems that you're under a shadow
-And I just can't see through.
And all our shadows hover over
And hover over all we are
Until all we see is the dark of the night.
And we fade from thought
Not unlike fever dreams
Or a summer tempest affair.
Shout against the shadows!
Stand up out of the night!
Do not fade from the light
Do not become a memory.
Or face the fate I have become
and sit stripped to the soul
under a shadow of your own creation.

..how can I love anyone else,
when I can't even trust myself?

Sis, you answer this one when you can.

I think the bottom half of the poem is all Darksheare.

    I descry, the Dragon's eye
It's glist'n scaly gleam
It's crooked wings, a wicked thing
A twisted fever dream
O' fangs and folly, never is jolly
A trampling midnight scream
Tail unmeasured, hiding his treasure
Hidden beyond the stream
His fire and dread, lair littered with dead
Until the hero's sword does ream.

Not very good perhaps, but I have a bit of a cold at the moment and it popped into my head.
I will be 'tweaking' it later.

Usually when we write poetry together, I
haven't slept & therefore don't remember
much. He had to remind me what lines he
was sure he'd written & what I wrote.

It's all your fault, I have haiku stuck
in my head. I write the best ones with
no sleep. How does that work?

    Softly, our lips touch.
The passion's overwhelming.
Please, don't let me go.

Tears fall to the ground,
but they're hidden by the rain.
You don't see my pain.

See?! It's your fault, Snippy!
What do you think?

    EEeek!
I can pick out which is from her, but then again, I know her nuances.
*chuckle*
Don't worry, after awhile, you'll be able to pick out the difference.
It's just a matter of exposure.

Thanks. Was up writing at 4-5
in the morning again.

In a lover's daze,
we have no need for words now,
just hold me closer.
