My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I was razzled and dazzled
By the words that you spoke
on a clear autum eve,
I started to type, but choked
To: bentfeather
Oh milady, my common and worn words
Should not even sit beneath yours
Your words are so floweryly divine
And mine are such an utter bore
I find her in the midnight hour
Bathed in the light of the moon
I came because I need you, I said
I hope Im not here too soon
Maybe its not you I love
For you I do not know
But it is for the ideal of love
That I let my words now flow.
To: Rhyminsimon
Your words are so floweryly divine
And mine are such an utter bore
Nay, your words are not a bore...
There are many more in store.
But it is for the ideal of love
That I let my words now flow.
Liquid silver flows smooth and slow
so the words of love must go
to penetrate the psyche deep
to live in chambers of the heart
to become a living part of the loved one.
To: bentfeather
True, true, what you say is true.
But I being a guy do know
That with these verses of love
They will say a queerness, I show
Haha, I think it funny
With that Ill go hug my bunny
But seriously or as much as I can be
Your words like slow silver run through me
They tickle and titillate the senses
And make me think of putting up fences...
But another part of me will not retreat
For this kind of fun just cannot be beat
To: Rhyminsimon
The hearld I answer is the one
whispering in my ear
hitching a ride with me
or is it I with her
on the winds...
we fly, we are never shy
no nevermore will she and I
be tamed or shamed
or blamed...
in trance we roam
without a home
stopping by afar
galaxies unborn
we dance the rhyme
sweet in sound
rich in color all around
we fling the stars
in fun each night
return by dawn's faint light
we wait for nights' respose
to put a twinkle in our toes
to tweek our ears to the call
laughing, laughing in the hall...

To: bentfeather
And so the dream fades away
And the reality lingers
I say one two three wake up
And snap my fingers
For a time I was with her
The scent of violets in the air
And then she said good bye
And I said life is not fair
To: Rhyminsimon
Nay the dream fades not
into shades of grey...
Nay, it must live
love is all there is
of value...
Don't throw it away
hold on my heart
it will live another day
The violets will fade
as hair silvers
in long dark shadows
of an August afternoon
and the chill of the north wind
reminds one of an approaching
cold and lifeless winter
Nay Spring is always near
fresh violet fields in play
in fields of clover dear
hold her close and near
never
let her go again... ever

To: bentfeather
But my love, with empathy, I said
I know that you have to get to bed
And if you keep it up, Im afred
Ill not get you out of my head
Your words they make me smile
They make my heart smile too
But too much of this can warp the mind
So that only the ideal will do
Henceforth I'll settle for nothing less
Than a trip around Venus and Mars
Ill never find the one, I now need
Now that you have raised the bar
Touch the dragon...
To: Rhyminsimon
I like your poetry, simon.

To: bentfeather
I like your back yard too. So lush and all, just like you.

You do know that I meant that in the most generic, nicest way.

Good morning darlin'!!
LOL
My back yard is a lush place. I have more pics of my fiddle head ferns and bird baths.
To: My back yard; BrokenArrow; Graewoulf
In this place serene
I sit and dream
of white knights
brave and bold
painting pictures
in the psyche cold
and
touch the nose of
serendipity in repose
rouse her in her place of rest
and put her magic to the test...
To: bentfeather
Don't have a poem for ya, but Howdy Missey.
Trying to stay dry today.

Howdy yourself!!!
Happy to have you stop around.
We had a soggy wet day yesterday, and not much better today, Gloomy no sun.

Oh My,
Thank you I say
To the nicest thing
I have heard all day...
Nay this and nay that
She said to me and
With each phrase
She set me free
My heart urged me
To go to a rooftop high
For I at last knew
That I could fly
So I bounded up twenty flights
Taking the stairs two at a time
I stood on the roofs edge
Gasping for breath, and new rhyme
Second guessing the wings of love
I jumped up, flapping like a bird
And fell back to the roof, in disgust
It wasnt as easy as I had heard
I looked out over the city, and
Looked for a far off backyard gate
Through which my love with
Magical, gossamer wings did wait
I decided that, the magic, was just that
With her too far away, it was faith that I lacked
