I can't believe with something as sentimental as this, would would want to bicker over PRICE.

Takes the romance out of it!

Sometimes Blockbuster has a 10-free rental card (one a week for ten weeks) when you buy a hot new release like this. If so, that's a great way to go. You pay full retail for the DVD, but then get the free rentals.

If that is not available, we find the Sam's Club usually has the best price on new release videos and books.

Wait until November 2003 and you can get the EXTENDED 4-CD VERSION with and EXTRA 40 minutes.

Picked up my copy at Walmart last night for $14.87. And yes, I received the promotional glow-in-the-dark "One Ring". My understanding though is that the "ring" was being given only to people who were buying the DVD between midnight and 6 am. I was there at 12:01 am, and there were already 30 people ahead of me.

A word of warning though... Walmart has a habit of raising the price on "hot" DVDs back to $18 and change after they've been out a few weeks.

Went to Wal-Mart, bought two for $14.97 each. Best deal I've seen or heard of, in-store.

No rings or bobbles though, and very bad service.

I brought a magazine. I suggest you do the same, if you haven't bought yours.

I say that the best buy is to wait until November to buy the film.

This DVD release is the theatrical version. The longer edit of the film (and extra bonus stuff) will come out on a November release.

Got my copy in the mail today, you see I live in a remote place with NO retail places selling DVDs, but has anybody found the easter eggs on this one yet? Can't seem to find any listed online yet.
