Happy "Second" Birthday (to Me) and an Announcement

Today is an exciting one for me, so I just thought I'd toot my own horn for a minute and let everyone know today is my second birthday. Two years ago this morning I woke up with limbs a'twitchin' and within five hours was informed I had a brain tumor. *shudder* The event pretty much set my life clock back to zero, which is why I refer to the day as my second birthday. At the time, I never thought I'd live two years but here I am still living, breathing and enjoying life. Isn't it great to be alive? (That's rhetorical, as I simply assume the answer is yes. :)
To those of you who didn't know this about me, feel free to browse the original prayer thread (Prayers Requested for MrConfettiMan and His Family) and/or visit the source URL noted above where I've been keeping an online log of my journey since it began. I'd like to thank FReepers for all their prayers and good thoughts during the past two years on behalf of my family and me. You have no idea how much they've meant to me.
I don't care to spend too much time boring you with a medical update but suffice it to say by the grace of God my MRIs continue to be stable. My next MRI is in October and if that one remains like all the rest the brain tumor experts at Duke will recommend I extend my MRI schedule from every four months to every six months (the majority of BT survivors never go beyond six months between MRIs and I don't intend to either). Unfortunately, my seizures (slight finger twitches and numbness in my foot) continue to occur every week and a half to two weeks so I don't allow myself to get behind the wheel of a vehicle (it's been well over a year since I've driven - *sigh*).
The Announcement
I'm very happy and excited to announce that I'm going to be a first-time daddy come November! MrsConfettiMan is five months pregnant. Her due date is November 12th (one day before her birthday). Another freeper is on the way!

Happy 2nd birthday, MCM.
Please put me on your November ping list - can't wait to see pictures of your first born!!!

If it's a girl, I'd like the middle name to be Hope, Faith or Grace since this child definitely represents that to my wife and me. For what it's worth, one of my favorite students ever is named Grace.
You know you're a REAL teacher when there are some names you'd just never ever give your own child, because they carry too many bad connotations.... ;-)

A gift from God is on the way! What wonderfull news for such a deserving set of future parents. BTW, the name "Sham" has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

Congratulations on both happy events -- your remission and the pending birth of your child. I can't imagine a nicer turn of events. Please keep us all posted.

Joe, I'm so tickled for you. Congratulations!! Please have your wife shoot for her birthday. I was a birthday present to my father and we shared such a wonderful bond because of it.
We, of course, will want to see pictures. ;>)

Joe,
Congratulations on your second year and on the expected arrival of your baby! (I guess it takes more than a brain tumor to slow you down!)
God bless you and keep you!

Thanks so much for the photo of Lily!
Our prayers are with you and your family.

Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
