To: Concerto in D
That could very well be. I've been a sentimentalist since childhood, though I've acquired a very strong rational streak simply because I've felt it was the proper thing to do. Whatever the cause, plucked strings are, to me, like catnip to a cat.
To: secret garden
The Largo movement is the gentle treasure.
To: Concerto in D
Pardon my ignorance but are you speaking in code?
To: secret garden
Oops--That'll teach me to get a music degree and assume everyone knows what I mean. Silly me!
Three movements to the piece: First is Allegro (fast and bouncy); second is Largo (gentle and peaceful); third is Allegro again (fast and bouncy).
To: Agnes Heep
Hehehe! Do I detect the strong possibility that you taught 4th and 5th graders how to play strings? Indeed, that could set anyone's teeth on edge!
To: Concerto in D
I understand allegro and largo(I play the piano) but thought you were trying to tell me more about the song(or its writer) with the lyric you quoted. I should have been more specific. :-)
To: Concerto in D
Not at all! My involvement with music is purely personal and recreational. My hat goes off to those who have the patience to teach anything to fourth and fifth graders--I'm sure not one of them!
To: PoorMuttly
LOL! Muttly, if you say that three times fast, you will tie your tongue in a knot!
To: Robert A. Cook, PE
Thank you Jean.
I couldn't remember it exactly. I would say I was having a blonde moment, but you know what certain students here would say about that!
:-)
Are you ready for December with Return of the King?
To: Concerto in D
I like your logic, verbally visual.
And beautifuly expressed.

I wish I could but the dentist(the real one) has dibs on me in the morning. I would much rather be here.
To: RikaStrom
Uh-oh...Muttly burned out another professor.
Sorry Class...but I will try to be more stolid in my restraint next time...that is, if anyone has the nerve to teach us.
Muttly tried to learn his lesson with "oppugn," which he made a proper mess of.

I haven't heard that before, thank you! (My collection doesn't extend to miscellaneous double lute recitals). I see it's been recorded by Lindberg and O'Dette on BIS, I'll bet that's a version to hear, right after your own with your good self, of course! Is a lute the very devil to play?

I wish it were that, but alas, the real boss has co-opted my time today.
But, since he does sign the paychecks . . . LOL
There's always class tomorrow. :-)
