I'm suprised. I think Kelly is better, he moves the team down field. He also has that something, it's hard to define.

Couch is a very tough competitor who has taken a beating for four years. Apparently the fans, the players, and the coaches agree Holcomb is the man.

Thanks for the *ping*!! ;)

I heard the rumor too...that it's Holcomb, which actually I think will prove to be good for Couch in the long run (no pun intended, LOL!)...Rush (newly employed by ESPN!) mentioned he favored Holcomb the other day as well, and if that's the way it goes, I expect it will be a good "learning experience" for Couch, besides helping him avoid being totally "beaten up before his time" (like Bernie was)...

I know some of "youse" already visit this site (or at least, I strongly suspect it, hehe!), but die-hard Brownies, check this out:

Off topic...what I really want to know is, what's up with the "water boil" alert? Anyone know?! ("Is it safe"?! / "Marathon Man"!)

This fan does not agree. It's close...but when the OL does its job and keeps the pass rush out, Tim is the better player. When it doesn't, Kelly is.

Couch seems to respond better when the pressure is on. While he's no Kordell, I have yet to see Holcomb step up in the fourth quarter and lead a comeback. Indeed, au contraire....he tends to fall just short. Tim has several impressive comebacks under his belt.

And no, my opinion has nothing to do with the fact that I can't abide Triviasanno, though it's true. He's the poster child for unjustified pomposity, a blowhard who isn't 10% the radio professional Rush (who he likes to mock) is and for that matter isn't even close to Kenny Roda (WKNR) in that regard. That was proven on September 11th. I've also heard (secondhand) that he's really obnoxious to his co-workers. To see him look bad again would make Couch getting the job doubly cool....IMO.

We'll know in about 45 minutes.

Holcomb looked pretty good in the game I saw the other day. One of the Canadian sports channels is reporting that the team has selected Holcomb to be the QB on opening day.
