Why wait till 6 pm? Mike Trivisono of WTAM has sources who say it's career back up Kelly Holcomb. The source is probably Carment Policy itself.

Couch is a very tough competitor who has taken a beating for four years. Apparently the fans, the players, and the coaches agree Holcomb is the man.
I heard the rumor too...that it's Holcomb, which actually I think will prove to be good for Couch in the long run (no pun intended, LOL!)...Rush (newly employed by ESPN!) mentioned he favored Holcomb the other day as well, and if that's the way it goes, I expect it will be a good "learning experience" for Couch, besides helping him avoid being totally "beaten up before his time" (like Bernie was)...
I know some of "youse" already visit this site (or at least, I strongly suspect it, hehe!), but die-hard Brownies, check this out:

Off topic...what I really want to know is, what's up with the "water boil" alert? Anyone know?! ("Is it safe"?! / "Marathon Man"!)
I did not know this.

I don't know. I don't think my water is from Lake Erie/ Cle eland.
Let's not hurt his trade value :-)
Couch seems to respond better when the pressure is on. While he's no Kordell, I have yet to see Holcomb step up in the fourth quarter and lead a comeback. Indeed, au contraire....he tends to fall just short. Tim has several impressive comebacks under his belt.
And no, my opinion has nothing to do with the fact that I can't abide Triviasanno, though it's true. He's the poster child for unjustified pomposity, a blowhard who isn't 10% the radio professional Rush (who he likes to mock) is and for that matter isn't even close to Kenny Roda (WKNR) in that regard. That was proven on September 11th. I've also heard (secondhand) that he's really obnoxious to his co-workers. To see him look bad again would make Couch getting the job doubly cool....IMO.
We'll know in about 45 minutes.

I can't say he's better because he so rarely throws the long ball. I'm not sure if he can't or is just not allowed....
Right now I'd take a nickel for him. Get out my city, you wimpy little Couch!
Couch has had some impressive comebacks.... heck more than some. The scouts all say he has a stronger arm than Holcomb. Hell, the strongest arm is Booty's. He had the best long pass of the season, almost winning the Oiltans game.I can't say he's better because he so rarely throws the long ball. I'm not sure if he can't or is just not allowed....
Trivia answer: Two of the top ten high school QBs in history are currently playing in the NFL. Tim Couch and Josh Booty.

That I did not know.

Local Radio Says Holcomb Will Be Named. It might be a premium article, but I don't think it is...
-Eric
I'll check it out, and as always with the Brownies, "the plot thickens"!!
Maybe the BROWNS will win a few this year
A few playoff games that is!
