I'm so lazy, I'd end up hanging out the dirty clothes until it rained and then bringing them in after they dried....

I'm about to have some really fresh sheets and towels tomorrow-I hurried to put out the laundry as soon as I got home hoping it might be dry by dark, and it just started pouring down rain. Good thing I don't need that stuff right now!

I've been tempted more than once to do that...just pour liquid detergent on the laundry and hang it out when it is raining.

When my sister from Tahoe came to SoCal to see her son graduate from the Marine Academy, her husband stayed home to take care of the horses. I drove her and a few others home to Tahoe.
When we got there, we saw the most hysterical sight in the whole world. It was my BIL's 50 pairs of white socks hanging on the line FROZEN. I never laughed so hard in my life.
He would then take one pair off the line at a time, put the pair on the oven to warm them.
I know I have a photo of this somewhere.

What you said in that thread was true. Honestly.
I did send that person a nice FReepmail, but the funny thing is, I think we've had conversations before, but I don't know when. I did a search on her name, and it was already there on the scroll down thingy. I must find out how I offended the woman.

Although it was messy, I loved that mulberry tree. My parents have moved from that house, and the people who bought it cut it down. :(

Gee, I just went back to the Women in the 50s thread, and the Deejay apparently skeedaddled. She did her snappy comeback at Cyber, he said he would crap on her parade..., then I went off on her and BOOM! She was gone. I guess we skeerd her. Yes we take care of our own!
I love you guys...*sniff*

I must find out how I offended the woman. Although it looked like her reply was to your "Now I know you're joking" post, I think it was probably the post immediately prior to it:
"Families were happier back in the '50's. I didn't know one family that wasn't "happy." (And I knew a lot of people.)" It's really nice being blind, isn't it?
She might have taken the "nice being blind" comment as insulting rather than the joking and playful spirit in which I knew you meant it. I still think she overreacted and was too quick to lash back, but I can see how someone unfamiliar with you might misinterpret that one comment.
