In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....

that is precisely what it comes down to. xsbrownie was tutored by her 2d grade teacher this summer and she and i discussed how horrific some of today's parents are. she said that she has many parents asking how she gets them to behave a certain way. of course, it is because with 25 kids in a classroom, you have to EXPECT good behavior from ALL of them, or you will have pandemonium!

we had a broken basement window that I didn't fret too much about until strange cats (random cats, sez the tyke) began showing up in my living room and for dinner. That wasnt' bad enough, we started getting little black field creatures. finally I set Lo Mein after them. he took care of the problem with a flourish and a burp!

the Pussy Cat began to show her age @16, so don't feel bad if yours does. She was fine until then, then suddenly began to show her age. it happenned suddenly, and then she went into a slow deterioration. She still insisted upon going outside and climbing on my lap, which she did last week for a spell...

this is true. the tyke and I decided what was expected of her, and what would happen if she didnt' conform. When she didn't conform, I had to stick to the program. Been so long since I've had to really discipline her, that I forgot what she did, or what I did in response!
