In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Even when I was a radio reporter???
The first Presidential election I could vote in I voted for Ronald Reagan and I voted for his re-election.

God bless your friend. I don't even think of corneas as a "transplant", probably because that has been done for so long. If I had a massive head injury, I would not want to survive-I wouldn't really be "living", but rather "existing".

NO YOU CAN'T PARTY ON THE PUSSYCAT'S DEA BODY YOU VULTURE;-)
Actually she has been in decline for the past two years, adn recently she has been incontinent and very weak. She would come in, eat, then go back out and lay onthe sidewalk.
Whilst we were out, one of the neighbors called animal control who came and scooped her up and put her in the local animal hospital where she died.
I was only just now able to learn what had befallen her.
She was initially obtained by my ex before we met, and has been part of the family ever since. She used to jump upo on my lap and pay her head upon my arm whilst I did paperwork, or whatever.
I could tell you stories, but i wouldn't want to broe anyone. She will be missed...

Professor David Bell, of Stirling University, authored a study
surmising that the key to a high salary is social drinking.
Drinkers paid more than teetotallers, survey finds
Ted Kennedy was overheard saying, "I'll drink to that."
(of course, he'll drink to any old thing!)

Gabz is doing the superior dance...disgusting!
I too was disappointed when Reagan was elected the first time, but by the second time, I had become an adult and proudly voted for him.

owning property and getting mugged also have a way of making you see things from a more conservative point of view. In a way I guess you could call the drug dealer problem I had in front of the house in Dover to be a continuous mugging.
I don't give a hoot what kind of drugs anyone wants to do - just don't drag me into it by causing me problems.

touche, my friend, and thanx.
when my ex left, she took the cat with her (in a huff). The cat, who by that age was a sit & sleeper managed to not only shred tmost everything in the apartment, but escaped by ripping the screen door and digging up the landlady's flowerbed! She didnt' do stuff like that when she was young!
I got her back soon thereafter. she spent a week never leaving my side purring in my lap at every opportunity...

I thought it was horribly sexist of the female cadets to get first grab at the food.
We sent up extra gear with the 'bot (they weren't allowed to bring in food, electronics and such), and he gave away a compass, some rain gear, soap and toothpaste to the cadets who forgot to bring those things. I was shopping with him for two days for all of this stuff.
I think everything comes out in the wash at the end.
He laughed at me for sending up with him individual hand wipies. They were all gone when he got back.
Next year Cyber and I are going to work this little soiree. It should be fun, to say the least. We'll be staying in a HOTEL nearby, though.

Maybe....I only voted for a liberal once, though, and it was in a state election. I was brought up in a conservative, military family, so maybe that is why I never really bought into the liberal lies. They always had the stench of communism about them.
