In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
pandemian \pan*dem*ee*an\, adjective
pandemianly; adverb
pandemiousness; noun
1. Vulgar
2. Sensual
The characteristics of Aphrodite have bewildered philosophers who, like Plato, made a distinction between the two aspects of the goddess, one Uranian "celestial," as the goddess of pure love, and Pandemian, or "popular," as the goddess presiding over ordinary love affairs.
Etymology: I couldnt find the etymology, double grades to the student who brings it to class!

Sorry about your Browns this weekend, but even on replay, they gave Eddie that touchdown and the ball did not break the plane. We were pronouncing the QB's name as Boo-TAY'. I can't remember what movie that was from - all the aliens had the first name of John and the strangest one was John Big Boo-Tay.

My being up has nothing to do with the pup - I woke up and just couldn't get back to sleep - so instead of tossing and turning I figured I might as well get up.

The pup is fine - anisette is getting better about her, thankfully. Jax is an entirely differnt story - her disobedience and total ignoring of what she is told is getting out of hand.
I'm really regretting geting the puppy........

I know I'm going to be tired, but at least this morning I woke up on my own - unlike yesterday when I had a child's elbow in my eye and a puppy on my chest!!!
I've already been out with Anisette but she is now back at the door to go out again.......Here I go!!!!

honestly, Gabz, what i hear you describe, is a mom with a child who has brought home a new baby. Jax is behaving very much as if you had brought home a new sibling. and in some ways it may SEEM that way. the puppy requires a lot of your time and attention, that she is used to having focused on her. In the long run, while this is difficult for you to put up with (and i put up with it TWICE, having brought home 2 siblings) it will be good for her in the long run, as an only child. do you know what i mean? soon the puppy will be fitting into your lives as if she had always been there, and it will seem to Jax that the puppy has always been a part of her life, just like it would with a new sibling.

I do know what you are saying and I'm praying you are right.
Jax just refuses to do what she is told - particularly about picking up the puppy. but this puppy is not going to stay little for very long and then maybe Jax will understand.
Hubby is up and dressed and has to leave shortly, so I'm going to go have coffee with him - talk to you in a bit.
