In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
pandemian \pan*dem*ee*an\, adjective
pandemianly; adverb
pandemiousness; noun
1. Vulgar
2. Sensual
The characteristics of Aphrodite have bewildered philosophers who, like Plato, made a distinction between the two aspects of the goddess, one Uranian "celestial," as the goddess of pure love, and Pandemian, or "popular," as the goddess presiding over ordinary love affairs.
Etymology: I couldnt find the etymology, double grades to the student who brings it to class!

geez we have to show up on the weekend to get a dang grade?? ; )
i am freshly coifed, by my fave conservative hairdresser. he always pays me the supreme compliment of introducing me as his most conservative client, and he only has conservative clients! i am always thoroughly entertained in there. i have no idea, nor do i care, what the other clientele thinks. we discussed Kobe, Arnold, the Episcopalian bishop, etc. And of course, the Clintons, what day would be complete without a bash or two!

I STILL have no valid license! They couldn't work me in for the driving test and said the only way I could make an appt was if I got a learner permit today and called monday to make an appt. Then they said i couldn't have a learner permit since I had previous had a GA license a long time ago. So I have to come back and sit and wait for them to be able to work me in between appts. They said the only days I'd have much chance of a work in are Wed. or Thurs. which is flat out impossible for me to do since Rick is working during the same time they are open! These people are so freaking screwed up.

Now now, my little cupcakes. I will have you know I was doing a massive cleaning of the kitchen.. .not the straightening up type cleaning, but the type that leave no four unturned.
To: honeygrl
Good grief, they sound like they have got a nightmare situation over there.
Can't you make an appointment for next week, and then see if they can fit you in this week if you are lucky... you know, in case they have a cancelation?

it was fun. and today was capped off by seeing Freaky Friday with the kids. i totally loved it, LMAO at it, guffawing aloud and nearly peeing my pants at various times. it is the same kind of feel good movie as the Kid, LE! i think you would like it.
of course, xshub had to try and ruin it for me after i got home, by telling me that jamie lee curtis is a huge lib. I don't care, she is hilarious in this movie.

I met Jamie's mom once and she was very charming. I was carrying a puppy at the time(that I had already named Jamie, believe it or not) and she commented on how cute she was and asked her name. When I told her, she laughed and said that was her daughter's name. This was before the Friday the 13th movies so I had no idea who her daughter was.
