Nope - Haven't seen the movie, but I am excited by the trailers.
Going to go see it after finishing the book!

So, Bear. You heard any news reports down there? Does Austin have a local Fox news?
Folks say there were 2 reports and then NOTHING.
Well, anyway, it's awefully odd here for a time that the pres. is at the ranch. Jr. and CV live a few miles on the other side of the ranch from me. The strangest thing is. Not one plane has flown over since I got here. It is totally quiet. I do not get that. We've been commenting about that all day. They say there have only been like 3 fly overs this week.

He was real upset with me because he thought I opened myself up to some danger. And he wants ya'll to know that he was just trying to do something about it. Well...that's sweet of him! And I think we reacted the way we did because WE don't want anybody hasslin' ya. Though I missed the orginal message, as I said, so I'm not sure how exactly it came across.

Hair-reading here as well, LSA saw "Tolkien" on a new book at the library and snatched it up. by Simon Tolkien, the grandson. "Final Witness" very english whodunit & court room story. Like the old movies on the Late Show, engaging novel.
WN: glad to hear all is well in C-ford and we won't need to saddle up ourselves, I'd reckon the HHD could mount a fair sized posse, would take a while to get us all there though.
Overtaxed; soooo, is the "Mauve Room" now "oatmeal or taupe or sand or bone?".
