Woohoo! Get out the 30/30's and it's a saudi invasion party. :-)
Those turds haven't tried to mess with Texas yet. They have NO idea what would be in store for them. I would almost feel sorry for the little raghead bastards. No quite, but almost.

I liked the purple polar bear.

I managed to avoid going outside today... I didn't want to melt into a big puddle of fat and fur. It hit at least 110 here today.
We had some thunderstorms go through about 7 pm, but it's still pretty hot.
Nothing on the news channels about it yet...

I can't believe there is all this excitement there and I WAS going to be there AS WE SPEAK!! And I'm stuck here.
I mean, I got neighbors that are worse than anything the secret service can be.
What I wanna know is if he was flying at high altitude how'd they take him down! huhmmmm
And if he was photographing the capital and the ranch. That's about 90 or 100 miles - don't cha think Bear? So where was the plan coming from?
And howcome we got military crawling all over our itty bitty town 6 miles from the ranch? Do they think there is somebody on the ground? I am getting no answers.

yeah. The heat even got to me today!!! I was out several times. The sign on the bank a few blocks from my house said 112. That was about 2 this afternoon. It probably went up. we had no rain. I got plants that aren't going to make it even with the water.

I guess I should go to the shower with all this happening...but I think I'll just head to bed and sleep off all that Guinness (and maybe start a new FR legend at the same time). Night all.
To: Wneighbor
Dang Wn!! Keep us informed!
I'll check in soon... gotta hit the road for a bit...
To: Wneighbor
Waco is 100 miles north of here... is the ranch north or south of Waco?
I'll be scanning the news channels at the top of the hour, they may say something then.
To: Scott from the Left Coast
g'night Scott!

That rips it. I can't get anyone on the phone now. I'm headin' home. My legal address is still down there. I gotta go to the house. Feel for me. No A/C there but, I gotta go check this out. LOL
I was about to fall asleep in my chair. Shut FR down, checked my mail and now I'm pumped and driving 3-1/2 hours. Might as well.
I will have my fire-arms.
This is a pretty weird coincidence too with that report on a trail to Osama ending up here at Shepperd yesterday. What the heck is this? They trying to get their oil here now? Flat strange!
Will not be able to check in! I will have your phone number if anything really newsworthy happens. Which it prolly won't. I'll see the Hobbit Hole when I decide to come back to Mordor.

Whoa, you sure you want to take off at midnight for a 3+ hour drive? It might be nothing, after all!
Nothing on the news channels about it.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Well, ranch is about 25 or 30 miles WNW of Waco. But, from Austin you don't have to go up to Waco. SH 317 is a direct route due north from Belton. And yet when 317 gets to Crawford the ranch is still about 10 miles NW. Well that's an estimate. Cause the roads are farm roads, estimating straight line distance.
Ok, when I lived on Lake Travis, it was 93 miles from 620 and Hudson Bend Road to Valley Mills. So, I bet that's about what it is to the ranch.

Well, I'm a little at loose ends here anyway. I was kind of sleepy - mostly from boredom.
Shoot Bear, I've even still got my kayak and paddle in the back of the pickup. If nothing else I'll hit Meridian Lake tomorrow.

Driving in the middle of the night when you're feeling sleepy is not a good idea. Just my opinion.
There won't be anyone awake to tell you what's going on when you get there, anyway!
To: Wneighbor
I am not following all this very well trying to catch up, but it sounds like you have suddenly decided to go on quite an adventure... Do take care! Stay off the road!

If you have him packed up in his shipping carton, there shouldn't be any problem checking him in, I would think!
Hope you have a safe journey!
