What is the best tasting beer?
Posted on 07/27/2003 1:20:57 PM PDT by zoen
Im partial to Henry Weinhard's from OR living in the Northwest for the regular stock. But for the best I would have to say it would be Bitburger. And Guinness is in its own place amonst the gods of tasty brews from the tap.

Moosehead.
You can always tell when someone has had moosehead: The antler marks on their stomachs. As far as to drink! India pale ale. John Dean's IPA at the Blind Tiger Brewery in Topeka is the best. Redhook IPA, Boulevard Pale, Sierra Nevada and a few others will do in a pinch. Omaha's Upstream Brewery has a good IPA too.

Please allow me to introduce myself I'm a man of wealth and taste I've been around for a long, long year Stole many a man's soul and faith And I was 'round when Jesus Christ Had his moment of doubt and pain Made damn sure that Pilate Washed his hands and sealed his fate
Pleased to meet you Hope you guess my name But what's puzzling you Is the nature of my game
I stuck around St. Petersberg When I saw it was a time for a change Killed the Czar and his ministers Anastasia screamed in vain
I rode a tank Held a general's rank When the Blitzkrieg raged And the bodies stank
Pleased to meet you Hope you guess my name, oh yeah What's puzzling you Is the nature of my game, oh yeah
I watched with glee While your kings and queens Fought for ten decades For the Gods they made
I shouted out "Who killed the Kennedys?" When after all It was you and me
Let me please introduce myself I'm a man of wealth and taste And I laid traps for troubadors Who get killed before they reached Bombay (Bombay is the word I found listed on all of the lyrics pages I found, but the actual lyric on the soundtrack sounds as if it has more syllables than that, to me - DA)
Pleased to meet you Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah But what's puzzling you Is the nature of my game, oh yeah, get down, baby
Pleased to meet you Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah But what's confusing you Is just the nature of my game
Just as every cop is a criminal And all the sinners saints As heads is tails Just call me Lucifer 'Cause I'm in need of some restraint
So if you meet me Have some courtesy Have some sympathy, and some taste Use all your well-learned politesse Or I'll lay your soul to waste, um yeah
Pleased to meet you Hope you guessed my name, um yeah But what's puzzling you Is the nature of my game, um baby, get down
Woo, who Oh yeah, get on down Oh yeah Oh yeah!
Tell me baby, what's my name Tell me honey, baby guess my name Tell me baby, what's my name I tell you one time, you're to blame
Ooo, who Ooo, who Ooo, who Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Oh, yeah
What's my name Tell me, baby, what's my name Tell me, sweetie, what's my name
Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Ooo, who, who Oh, yeah

best commercial American beer - uhhhh, not likely
best commercial import - Moosehead, Heineken a far second
best harder-to-find import - Guiness (draft or bottle only!)
best German beer - Bitberger is very good; there are a hundred tied for second
I will need to sign up for one of those beer-of-the-month clubs in order to sample American micros

What about that delicious and refreshing Black Label beer? I think it used to be $1.50 for a twelve-pack! Yeah, that used to do the trick...that and the oh-so-classy "Pearl Lite" (lite, no less!) beer. Yum!

Theakston's Old Peculier...very heavy, not as bitter as Guinness.

Belgium is "the littlest weasel." It's consistently opposed American foreign policy, from before the first Gulf War (when it wanted to reneg on its NATO commitment to Turkey, etc.) to the second Gulf War (when it wanted to reneg on its NATO commitment to Turkey, etc.)
Until they put Marc Dutroux on trial, and arrest all of the politicians who are protecting him (and thereby protecting themselves) I won't touch Beligian products.

Feldschlossen, available in Interlocken, Switzerland. They tried to pass off something under that name in the US, but it was a fraud.
To: zoen
Alexander Keith's Pale India Ale. Had it in Nova Scotia.
