Evil Ann Coulter to speak at Republican conference.
Posted on 07/22/2003 11:58:47 AM PDT by The Night Owl
I just noticed that Ann Coulter is scheduled to speak at The 25th Annual National Conservative Student Conference. Is Coulter the type of person who should be speaking at a high profile even?
Coulter once said that her "only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building". She has never apologized for that comment. In fact, to this day, she stands by it. I think this comment clearly shows that she is a sympathizer of right wing terrorism.
That begs the question... why was she invited to speak at a high profile republican conference with people such as Michael Reagan, Milton Friedman, G. Gordon Liddy, Terence Jeffrey, Fred Barnes, Robert Novak, David Horowitz, and Rich Lowry?

Trying to prove that the left has no sense of humor, eh? Well, we already knew that so we really don't need to have you around to prove it.

John Hawkins: You've caught a lot of heat for a couple of quotes you made. In your column three days after 9/11, you said, "We know who the homicidal maniacs are. They are the ones cheering and dancing right now. We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity."
You also said in an interview with the New York Observer, "My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building." Do you stand by those quotes or do you think that perhaps you should have phrased them differently?
Ann Coulter: Ozzy Osbourne has his bats, and I have that darn "convert them to Christianity" quote. (Thank you for giving the full quote. I have the touch, don't I?) Some may not like what I said, but I'm still waiting to hear a better suggestion.
- Here is Her regret mark, an appology of sorts
RE: McVeigh quote. Of course I regret it. I should have added, "after everyone had left the building except the editors and reporters."

Having now read the quote in the context of the interview, I now feel sorry for you. It must be really depressing to go through life so devoid of any semblance of a sense of humor that you can't recognize farsical humor when it it right there in front of you.

How could that person not have known it was a joke? Probably because when lefties say stuff like that, they're not joking.

That is your opinion, and I'm sure even you don't believe that. But this is so typical of the left - to distort the truth and twist things all around and inside out.
But no matter what you say, you can NEVER marginalize Anne. She's too smart and the left is becoming TOO obvious!
To: The Night Owl
Her comments were only construed as serious by her left wing, humourless critics.
Al Gore, on the other hand, has serious opinions about the environment almost indistinguishable from the Unibomber....
He didn't just give a speech to the Democrats.....
He actually was given there blessing to lead them all the way......wacha think bout that? Is that a serious thought?

Yes, and Hillary Rodham "I will take down America" Clinton is becoming TOO Obvious as well!
It's time for the Senate to stand in unison against
Hillary and brand her a TRAITOR and court-marshall her!!
Imagine the horror that after getting McCain to shackle Average-Americans with the Campaign Finance Reform Act, that Hillary is now overseas in Germany and other Socialist Nations GATHERING CAMPAIGN DONATIONS!!
Hillary is preaching "Down with the USA, Up with the U.N!" and the slithering slime that hates America is gleefully filling Hillary's pockets with silver!!
We, mere Americans, will have little or no say in the 2004 election. Hillary and Bill Clinton already learned that MONEY buys elections and in 92 & 96 they turned to Communist China for their "offerings."
In 2004... Socialist Europe will "spare the change" to bring change to America!
Hillary Clinton is actively trying to destroy the United States and is encouraging our enemies against us, just like Bill Clinton encouraged Saddam Hussein and Bin Ladin and brought the horror of 9-11 to our people!
The Conspiring Clintons
#1 Enemy Within!!

No wonder the zot level changed; with all of the room-temp Hussein excitement, I would have missed something like this (in fact, I did miss this). On a related note, I figured out you're not Laz (he would never use "khaki" :-)

It was a foolish statement. It was hyperbole. Look it up, RATboy.
I suppose you think that a stupid statement is worse than the rape of Juanita Broaddrick, attempting to fix a federal sexual harassment trial, and the sale of missile technology to the ChiComs.

Then again, perhaps you actually share her regret that McVeigh did not target The New York Times Building? For the record - yes, I share her regret. It is liberal vermin like the editors and reporters of the New York Slime that took what in 1950 was the greatest country on Earth, and turned it into a cesspit. To see them fragged by the feral children of their ideology would be sweet, sweet payback.
To: The Night Owl
It is called harsh wit.
Martin Luther had it.
Just because our modern sensibilities can be offended so easily doesn't mean she actually hopes he killed folks at the NY Times.
