Call me warped, but that funeral story is one of the funniest things I've read in days. However, there was one line in particular that caught my eye...
"But as more people buy eulogies off the Internet ..."
Excuse me?
To: camle
seems like you should be getting rain there today. it rained like an SOB here yesterday afternoon around 5pm.

Slap shot was a hoot. But Cool Hand Luke is a classic. He has made so many movies. Sean I like better after Bond and best in things like the Untouchables.

None of this is in ANY way an endorsement for pet funerals. But on the subject of pet viewing...We have a cancer cat whose time is rapidly approaching. We have two other currently cancer-free cats. Mrs. Dupa has suggested showing the other two cats the dead guy before I bury him, so theywill know he is gone. We have heard sad stories of pets continually going from room to room looking one of their buddies after he is dead. We were wondering - and still not decided upon - if such a viewing would prevent that.

well this place apparently endorses that as a way to help the other animals cope, they let them sniff...the dearly departed. i think that you would be ok in showing the sibs the corpse and letting them come to terms with their loss.
poor you and mrs dupa, though. that will be hard.

ain't been no picnic here either. last two weeks have been rather less than pleasant, so today is a blessed releif. Whilst we was in Il last week, it was close to 100 with high humidity. Kept to the limo, but when we got out at the St. Louis arch, we had to walk some distance in the heat nad stand in line. We was about wilted by the time we got inside the complex.

if we had any storms last night (it did rain a bit), I slept through them. it was the best sleeping night in a while, so I made it my God given task to snore as much as possible, in gratitude, y;know:-)
