AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 896) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | July 5, 2003 | All of Us

Posted on 07/05/2003 4:42:20 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The United States has decide to try six suspected Al Qa'eda terrorists in military tribunals. The European Union has warned the United States not to use the death penalty or it would cause the international coalition to lose its integrity. [Ed. note: PUHLEASE!] Among the six designated are two British and one Austrailian.

An Iranian missile using a North Korean engine has been successfully tested. The tested missile has a range that will reach Israel.

And violence continues in Iraq: one American soldier was killed yesterday, and 12 wounded.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

The variety is "Becky." I called Jackson and Perkins customer service and they had my records on file.

These things stood up through the rainstorm this morning. I heartily recommend them.

I do not remember if these were exlusive to J & P or not, but you might check at Lowe's or your local garden center and see if they carry them.

Something to keep on the radar is about to unfold in England.....BBC Board of Directors will meet tomorrow to discuss the dust-up with the Blair government before a report comes out Monday..

The rubber is about to meet the road...

Hmmmm. Very interesting, and Sky will keep an eye on it, I am sure, as they have an interest in causing BBC to come clean.

And going thru the kitchen and fridge - it's like a plague of locusts has arrived!

I love having willing test subjects to cook for. Shall I send a shipping container full of food? ;>)

Hi, everybody!

I'm on hubby's laptop (which I hate) and dial-up so I won't be hanging around but just wanted to say "Howdy" to everyone. Things are going relatively well here. Hope you all had a safe and fun holiday yesterday. We watched lots of fireworks on tv last night .... including the local ones on the river near the Battleship North Carolina plus the ones from NYC and Boston.

"See" you again Monday night ... this dial-up is just too slow to mess with much so I doubt that I'll try to get back on.

We just finished dinner as well...rib eye steaks and the potato salad. Yesterday's trout turned out terrific...we will make that again.

Another thunder-boomer cropping up here. Glad the grass was mowed on Thursday!

Hubby requested homemade mac and cheese and sweet corn. Yesreday pizza..today mac and cheese. I think he has forgotten what season it is. LOL. Actually, we are off Atkins for the holiday weekend so we are cramming all the carbs in.

I'm getting mighty sick of ice cream. LOL

Hey, Kurt....congratulations on the job.

Atkins...what Atkins :))

Today, hubby received his 'overdue' Father's Day package from #1 son.

Praline pecans, a huge gourmet chocolate bar, and Swiss milk pralines are a few of the 'goodies' we've been munching on this afternoon :>))

Unlike John......I LOVE chocolate!!!

I finally had to put it all in a big tupperware container & take it to hubby's study, so I wouldn't be tempted to enjoy too much 'his' gift :)

"Actually, we are off Atkins for the holiday weekend so we are cramming all the carbs in."

Hilarious! Just as I'm reading this post I'm watching the scene in the movie "Big Night" in which the Italian chef (cook?) refuses to prepare a side order of spaghetti for a woman who has already ordered risotto as an entree!

I love this movie!

chef (cook?) refuses to prepare

He's a chef. Cooks don't refuse to do what they are told. Only chef's get away with that.

You've seen this movie, John? I hope so. I was so inspired by it, that when the NYT's (back when I used to read it) published a recipe for the Tympani (sp?) several years ago, we made it for my New Year's Eve party that year.
