We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
The United States has decide to try six suspected Al Qa'eda terrorists in military tribunals. The European Union has warned the United States not to use the death penalty or it would cause the international coalition to lose its integrity. [Ed. note: PUHLEASE!] Among the six designated are two British and one Austrailian.
An Iranian missile using a North Korean engine has been successfully tested. The tested missile has a range that will reach Israel.
And violence continues in Iraq: one American soldier was killed yesterday, and 12 wounded.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
GOOD MORNING, EVBERYONE. From sunny Chula Vista, Ca. (That between San Diego and the Mexician border.)
It's been awhile since I last reported in. Life correction GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME. . . ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD.
Last time I reported in, I was working at an apartment complex. About 2 hours work, my cell phone rings. One of the companies that interviewed, with was calling me. They wanted to hire me. I told them that, they were a day late and a dollar short, I all ready had a job. They told me that I would be paid what I requested for. I had to asked therm to refresh my memory, for it was about 2 months when I talked to them. They said 14.00 per hour.
My next words were "When should I come in and do the paperwork."
I'm a Punch List Man. I take care of small or large problems in a new house. Homeowners have 30 day period to fine defects/problems in the house. I'm the one who fixes them.
I have come to the understanding, that the economy is very healthy. I do not work on houses unless they are sold. This week I was working on a block of Million dollar PLUS house. It was a million dollar sub-division. 7 houses were already sold. The hous are on maybe a quater lot. NO pools or landscaping, that is all extra.
There was about 10 more being built. I also worked on a house that was purchased for 900,000. The prices just blows my mine.
I give all the Glory to GOD, for my new job. I just had to be ready. Plus let of of my pride, before anything could happen.
On top of that, I'm back in the church choir. It was great to go back.
I'll be here for most of the day. Money is very tight, for the next couple of weeks. However the Lord is helping that also.
EVERYONE, Please have a safe weekend.
/JP

Later, my friends.
Yes, Molly I'll take ibuprofen before going out. :-)
"heavy- handed" is a good way to describe Preminger, for sure...
I like your anecdotal evidence of the economy. And that's in Calif.!!
Mornin' kassie!
I went to the Jackson Perkins web site, but they aren't currently listed. I will need to see if I can find the order in my account on-line and get you the name of them.
I ordered 10 plants and scattered them throughout my garden. All are doing well, although the ones in full sun all day are doing the best. (That particular bed also gets the benefit of rose food, which may be why they are spreading so fast).
I have tall Shastas which have thin stems and fall over at every storm. I think those are the variety "Alaska."
Then I have some very short ones that are less than a foot high which are planted around my patio (can't remember that name). But these are the best...sturdy stems, large flowers, and lush foliage.
Chair, I had to laugh at the posting in the news where the European Union warned the Americans not to use the death penalty when conducting the military tribunals on Al Queda terrorists.
What are they going to do, send in the French?
Great evening last night. Neighborhood was full of fireworks displays. We sat out on the front porch watching them all. Even the fireflies got in on the act.
Weather is much quieter today. I understand 100,000 people were without power in Milwaukee County due to morning thunderstorms.
Here's what you do: pretend you are a housewife.
Those commercial breaks are then your friend.
They give you the chance to run and make sure you did, in fact, turn the oven on...move the clothes from the washer to the dryer....check the children to make sure they haven't killed each other...yet.
See??? :-))
Bit, JRF, enjoyed the funny repartee between youse guys yesterday...LOL
Dog, MM,JRF, afraid I'm just the type
that won't call & let them know our feelings about the restaurant....
..just probably won't go back!
The food was very good....although quite pricey, so it would only be for a special occasion anyway.
...I'm just too timid to call.....
We had a not too fun 4th....
..husband felt compelled to go to his sister's condo in Cocoa Beach....but the 4th party she throws every year is held in the downstairs rec room and an hour before we left, she called and said the 'air' had died, and could we bring fans!!
Now mind you, she & her other guests, including the other sister who is still miffed at us over the dog of 3 months ago....
..they all sit out in the sun by the pool & jump in the water when it gets too hot.
But my daughter, Jen, who always goes too, with her husband, was not feeling well, and assumed she could spend the afternoon in the rec room, with an occasional jaunt outside to talk to folks a bit.
sil had asked Jen to bring a fan too.
So I stayed in the rec room with Jen and we both sweltered for 2 hours until dinner was cooked....(we all contributed something)....
..and by the time clean-up was over, Jen & I were darn well'cooked' too....:>)
...just literally melting!!!!
So we 4 left, and they came to my house to watch fireworks from our screened porch....
..Marlin Stadium is probably less than 5 miles away, as a crow flies.
And after the game, they had a pretty decent fireworks display.
So we cooled down at my place, and had a fun time on the porch watching our own private fireworks...:))
....Hubby just left to go to the semi-annual computer show at the downtown auditorium.
..He's meeting Jen's husband there.....both computer geeks :))) ...(& I say that in the nicest possible term!)....
While he's gone, I'm reading Robt.Ludlum's Sigma Protocol....I found it at a 'markdown' table, and so far, it's a pretty good read.
