We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
The United States has decide to try six suspected Al Qa'eda terrorists in military tribunals. The European Union has warned the United States not to use the death penalty or it would cause the international coalition to lose its integrity. [Ed. note: PUHLEASE!] Among the six designated are two British and one Austrailian.
An Iranian missile using a North Korean engine has been successfully tested. The tested missile has a range that will reach Israel.
And violence continues in Iraq: one American soldier was killed yesterday, and 12 wounded.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Red lights are something we all agree to obey, so we won't kill each other.
Speed limits are about raising funds for the local gooberment.
God speed you onward....

In February, 1854, a meeting was held at the Secedor church in Crawfordsville, Iowa (in my home county). The participants were members of various political parties and organizations, all were more or less opposed to the extension of slavery in the United States and some favred the complete abolition of slavery. A committee was formed and withdrew to the House of all Nations (a hotel) where they drew up a compromise resolution oppsing the extesnion of slavery into new territories. The committee returned to the church, their resolution were adopted and a slate of candidates were named, and a new political party was formed.*
Although several communities - Ripon, Wisconsin and Jackson, Michigan for example - claim to the the 'birthplace' of the Republican Party. Crawfordsville was the site of the first meeting where the principles which came to be known as "Republican" were set forth. The coalition meeting at Crawfordsville didn't call itself the Republican Party, but then, neither did any other group in these early meetings. The word 'republican' wasn't applied to the new political party until June 24, 1854.

I don't want to reignite the fight, but I did think it was important to comment. My grandchildren are the 7th generation of my family to live in Washington County.
I'm really looking forward to seeing a couple of the gardens on the tour.
Iowa Granny, I hope you get rain soon. For me, rain means I don't have to water flowers. For farmers, it's far more important.
Good morning everyone!
The liberals on that show said it got a lot of coverage when he announced it, but there was no follow up or accountability for this administration. They talked about how he had announced it during the State of the Union and that it got coverage then, and that was when it should have been covered.
Apparently both liberal reporters are so clueless or so anti-Bush that they failed to realize that the bill passed Congress and that Randall Tobias was named the head of the agency which will administer the program, and THAT was what the viewer was aggravated that had not been covered!
I really hate it when I am more informed than the people who are supposed to be bringing me information!
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help..
~~Our John read this Psalm at his friend's wedding yesterday. We are not promised a trouble-free life, but we are offered help, love, and His strength.
