AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 894) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | July 3, 2003 | All of Us

Posted on 07/03/2003 4:14:24 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

President Bush is considering sending troops to Liberia.

While not throwing full weight behind a Constitutional Amendment to guarantee such a thing, the President did say he believed that marriage was indeed a union between a man and a woman.

Two separate incidents temporarily shut down subway service and the Brooklyn Bridge in Manhattan yesterday. The subway was closed in the southern part of the island after finding suspicious packages, while the bridge was shut down because a man reported to authorities he had been offered money to drive a car parked outside City Hall and park it on the Brooklyn Bridge. The car was found to be clean.

And research has shown that regular pot smokers are at greater risk of mental illness later in life.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Twas a hoax at the LaGuardia Airport car rental place. NY has had at least three other hoax disruptions these past two days.

Better a hoax but a pox on the hoaxers.

Hey all...back from NOTSOHOTLANTA. Miss Marple, here's what I've been able to "gather". One thing in particular glares out at me as a disturbing piece of this story.

On MSNBC, they had the spokesman for the National Car Rental Agency on the phone. He said that this car had been due in 2 weeks ago but was never returned. They found it last night in the Queens? area and had it re-po'd and returned to the airport. They ("they" being the National Car Rental Agency) were doing the normal "inventory" of this car/truck/van this morning after it was returned and they were the ones who called the NYPD. [this is all according to the spokeman].

Meanwhile, Catherine Herridge on Fox (or however you spell her name) is reporting that an anonymous caller gave the NYPD a "tip" and therefore they [this time "they" being the speculating media] think this might be a hoax. As John Scott pointed out to her, the Police Commissioner himself made the remarks about "automatic weapons and a suspicious device" and why would he do that if it was a hoax? She replied, "Well, information may have been crossing when he said that and that information may be wrong." I tend to disagree with her. I do not believe for a single second that the POLICE COMMISSIONER OF NYPD would say anything unless he had concrete information. They've never done that before and I don't think that the day before July 4th he would just "throw" something out there without having a solid story. Unless he's a complete idiot.

This is what disturbs me: that the actual car rental agency called the police after they found what they found. A so-called "hoax" scenario would be a bit more believable only if the vehicle had been sitting there for any period of time and no one knew for sure whether there was something in or on the vehicle from the beginning of this story.

I emailed that comment to the "terrorism expert" on FNC. Hopefully, he'll get the message because it's like a big red siren going off to me; I'm just a civilian --- hopefully the experts have also asked themselves this question.

Why would the National Car Rental Agency call in a "hoax" tip? They'd be out of business in a minute. UNLESS...(and this is entirely possible)...it was some underling sitting at his/her desk bored out of their minds. If that's the case, they won't be bored for very long.

Of course, this is all "DJ" thinking, so it may mean nothing at all and it very well might turn out to be nothing. ;-)

Thanks for the information. I see that the media is as usual talking at cross-purposes and going off on tangents. Taking granddaughter to the pool for an hour or so. Back later.

Thought you'd find this kinda neat: while driving up to Atlanta last week, I saw a woman in an SUV from SOUTH FLORIDA (the county was on her tag) and on her back window she had a bumper sticker that said:

"W2004"

Looks like while the DemonRats are going to do everything "maniacally possible" to get the WH back, the RNC is quietly printing out bumper stickers.

I guess it also rules out any speculation that President Bush would not run for a 2nd term in office, huh? ;-)

Maybe I need to adjust my tin foil hat a tad HOWEVER I don't think that I would call a "timing device, 2 flares and a Tech-9" a hoax at this point. Maybe a ruse to divert authorities, but a hoax?

Of course, there are a lot of stupid people out there.......

Chairman....loved the commercial...I'm surprised you didn't fall down. After all, it was shown on CNN. ;-)

I did have to stare at the station ID after the news came back on for awhile, just to make sure.

Supposed "straight talkin'" balanced budget Republicans always make my teeth hurt....guys like Kasich :)They get into power with no more than a high schoolers understanding of economics but their "conviction" makes them think they are experts on fiscal policy.Could be how they end up on low rated cable talk shows after they have grown so much in office ;-)

The head of the Senate intelligence committee is telling the press that we do have real proof that Saddam has weapons of mass destruction. The senator wants it released.

If we have captured tons of bad WMD, Dubya should call prime time press conference to show the evidence.

The conference should open with lots of nerdy looking scientists wearing lab coats and thick safety glasses. They should show and explain about all this bad killing goop. The first few seconds of each scientist's report should be in science ese-that none of us can understand. Then they tell us how little of the goop it would take to kill everyone in Chicago..etc.

The last batch is brought out by Dubya also dressed in lab gear. Bush launches into science language speech but this time the all the real Phd's take notes and marvel at what Dubya says. None of us can understand a word of what he says. Then Dubya goes into English and explains how one drop of the goop would kill every one in LA.

I think that when Fighter Pilots are the heroes of the war on terror, Dudya should appear as a Fighter Pilot. And when Scientists are the heroes of the war on Terror, Dubya should dress like a scientist.

If Dubya did this, Senator Byrd's speech on the senate floor would be worth listening too. He would blow a real gasket.

You guys are soooooooo helpful!

Well, my neighbors and I are scratching our heads wondering if we are victims of some mass delusion: It's almost the middle of the afternoon, and no sign of any street resurfacing....no truck, no asphalt, not even a shovel....

Kasich really irked my last nerve this morning. The fact that he actually ran for President tells me all I need to know. Not much different than Sean Hannity putting on all those callers who said he ought to run for President and Shep Smith egging Sean on with that nonsense.

Here's some Jan thinking. The police unions and the dem pols have been screaming bloody murder that they need more money for homeland defense. Don't these little disruptions fit right in with their demands for more more more money?

Just thinking out loud........
