In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

I hate to tell you this, Arghie, but I was not playing.
Cyber says I remind him of Gracie Allen sometimes. These thoughts fly out of my brain, and I can't tackle them.

Yes, the first building was WTC #5, which housed the one and only major bookstore south of Canal Street -- and the only one south of 14th Street, other than a B&N in the East Village.
So, we've been without a bookstore here until a few weeks ago and I'm still giddy that we've got our Borders back. :)

I still always jerk my neck around to check out a blonde, but brunettes give you a deeper feeling.

That's it! Occasionally you do remind me a little of Gracie! In a completely good way, of course.

You were without a bookstore for that long? That is awful. A FReeper without a bookstore is like a baby without milk. Is that a good analogy?
Where is the milk lady, honeygrl? She should have taken her Percocet by now.

Is that Lulubelle 2L and Lulubelle 4L? If so, they are both gorgeous!

Yes, and I once started to break down and cry in the street when I absentmindedly thought of going there to look for something that I couldn't find at
J&R Computer & Music World and immediately thought that I'd just head over to Borders for that
Quadrophenia DVD. :(

I have a personal question about New York City, I hope you don't mind.
I lived in LA for quite a while, but I could never get used to the tall buildings. Do you ever get used to those? Of course, in LA, you have earthquakes and they rock like crazy. But just the thought of looking straight down gives me the heebie jeebies.

I have absolutely no problem with tall buildings. Never have -- not before 9/11 and not since.

Robert it has indeed warmed up in the NorthEast and we have ripped that cover off the pool - it's so much nicer uncovered, don't you think?
