It is my understanding that the liberal heavyweights in the Democratic party have decided that they will be taking off the gloves and will assault the President politically "in a maniacal fashion". Apparently, desperation, angst, and a complete lack of focus in their leadership has left them without a coherent message. And that damned 22nd Amendment has ruined their dream of bringing back the previous administration. This all creates for our feeling of zeitgeist which began with the election of President Bush.
