Hello Monday. Short work week for many of us. Had difficulty waking up this morning? My sister and her husband had no difficulty. They just purchased a new piano. I caution cat owners not to purchase a piano. You never know what kind of beautiful "mewsic" cats create, as shown in the attached photo. Something called a "Wake-Up Call".

The "Kitty Caption" is a weekly humor feature of FR. Many members are cat owners (or are owned by cats) and we enjoy a little humor among all the serious news that gets discussed here. Even our Viking Kitties are rumored to enjoy these threads. Kitty Caption threads are posted on Monday. If you would like on/off the Kitty Ping list (83 members), please Freep-mail me. If you have a kitty caption you want featured, plese freep-mail me a link.

    I don't bother chasing mice around, oh-no
I slink down the alley, lookin for a fight
Howlin' to the moonlight on a summer night
Singin' the blues while the lady cats cry
Wild stray cat you're a real gone guy
I wish I could be as carefree and wild
But I got cat class and I got cat style

I don't know why but Ethel Merman singing "There's no business like show business" came into my mind when I saw this.

And thanks for the warning about buying a piano.

"There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats." Too bad they don't mix. The kitties of my acquaintance head for the hills when it's practice time.

That is so adorable! I love kittens.

The kitties of my acquaintance head for the hills when it's practice time. LOL! My cats run away when I sing but they do have their favorite music, mostly R&B and classical. One cat, the grey tabby, LOVES Celtic music. She will run to wherever it is playing and glue herself to it till it is over.

Sometimes I do Celtic stuff on the pennywhistle...I must suck because she scratches at the door to be let out. :)
