AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 878) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | June 17, 2003 | All of Us

Posted on 06/17/2003 4:10:58 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The leftist swine media are back on a rant about Gitmo - The New York Times is carrying a piece that laments about the conditions the detainees had to go through. The Times did say there wasn't any physical mistreatment, just isolation such that some detainees thought of suicide. Still waiting to read their expose on the families of the Trade Center victims and how they feel about all this.

Ed Gillespie will likely be replacing Marc Racicot as head of the RNC when the committee votes next month.

And as to what must be frustrating to the Criminal Party, newly released financial statements from the Administration show the President's advisors as somewhat better off than the average American but, even in the words of the Washington Pravda, not rich.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I've been trying to get here to tell you the rest of that story all morning, and I've just now had the chance.

After Mr. DJ refused to come home, I realized that not only did I have to deal with two horses, I also had to deal with a deputy who had half the intellect of Barney Fife. At least he had a rookie partner him that had a brain.

Apparantly, Barney Fife was under the assumption that I stole the horses and that I left them in the front yard where no one would ever notice them. Here was the conversation:

BF: "Ma'am, when did you notice the horses were in your front yard?"
ME:"When I opened up the blinds in the den and saw them standing there looking at me."
BF:"Why did you open the blinds?" (??????)
ME:"Um...because it was getting stormy out and therefore it was getting dark in the room so I opened the blinds, and I also heard what sounded like a couple of dogs outside fighting or something, so I guess I also opened them to see what was going on."
BF:"And what exactly did you see?" (is this guy for real or what?)
ME:"I saw exactly what you are seeing now. Two horses, sir, standing under the tree."
BF:"What did you do then?"
ME:"I shut the blinds and then I re-opened them to make sure that I was really seeing two horses standing outside in my front yard, under my tree, staring at me. Then I called the police because we (that's you,FReepers)thought maybe they had been reported missing or stolen, and in fact they had been."

[Keep in mind that his rookie partner is doubled over in laughter and I was about to do the same thing].....

BF: "How did the horses get here?"
ME: (looooonnnnnggggggg pause)"I am assuming, sir, that they walked here. I really can't think of any other way they could have gotten here, unless they're names are "Pegasus".(remember the flying horse from Hercules???? Apparantly he never saw that movie....)

His partner is hysterically laughing now.....and I get yelled at...:

BF:"Which one is Pegasus?" (okay I lost it, I really did....I was laughing so hard ..well, just imagine..... and then Barney Fife goes on to say: "This is no laughing matter, ma'am. Two horses were reported missing last night.....very expensive horses, ma'am, and they just happen to show up in your front yard, under a tree. If you were me, what would you think?"

I really couldn't think of good answer, so I said,
"Um,.....they liked the tree? I really don't know. They didn't tell me. I don't do Dr. Doolittle."

Thank goodness that at that very moment that the owner showed up.......or I would probably still be trying to get out of jail......

Notice the media ignoring this woman's enemies list that makes Nixon's list pale by comparison.

Good point. Maybe they are "worried" about what the consequences would be should they anger her vilness and wound up on the afore mentioned "list"...Naaahh, more likely they're just typical boot-licking clintoon sociophants.

LOL

I'm so happy he didn't take his one bullet out of his shirt pocket.

Was the owner grateful? Were they actuallly stolen or did they wander off?

LOL.....yes, indeed, I have. Barney Fife seemed to think that horses have nametags, too. Oh and guess what? Since we have a retention pond behind our house and they are building new houses, we also have water mocassins....did you know that they will chase you?????

I left one wildlife habitat for another one. I think I liked the old one better.....*grins*

lysie - Your break from all that damage clean-Up?? Don't overdo! It's been cloudy and cool all day, but no rain...

Riv, that campaign will blow up in the Dems' faces, I'm thinking. Under present leadership, their pattern is to carry their schemes too far.

He was extremely grateful, and very nice. They had gotten loose during a storm the night before and bolted from the stables....and ended up here. He tried to give me a reward but I said no. You're never going to believe who he was......

Yep, I'm thinking that your thinking on this is spot on accurate.

All this silly little smatterting of tripe will do is draw even more attention to their obstrucionism of Judicial appointments...attention they would be well advised to avoid.

Predictable and stupid is a staple of the DNC.

I found a pair of these new kind of gardening gloves last week at a gift shop and bought a pair, even tho they were a little pricey.

Thought it might be worth it to save my hands, as they fit like gloves, are washable, and very comfortable. Not enough wearing time yet to determine to advertized durability.

FoxGloves

The other thing I like is the length....Jane you mentioned trimming the roses and that reminded this morning of their particular appeal. Just don't like to get all scratched up and down my arms!

I have already heard about one lie being revealed...that is about the police officer who swore he saw files being removed from Foster's office the very night of his death.

At first the officer's story was denied denied denied. Now, there it is in the book.......she had the right to those files because they belonged to HER......admits they were spirited out of Foster's office.

I have already heard about one lie being revealed...

There are many more to follow. Some are starting to see the light of day.

And there in lay the problem with lies...you have to keep all of them straight or risk being exposed, and ol' hillbilly-hillary is in the process of seeing her lies start to snap at her more than ample posterier...

Here's my travel report....organized around a theme....

America is Good. She is Good because her people are Good.

I think I'm quoting the President here, but if he hasn't said it, he should and can, with complete confidence. America is also quite beautiful...breathtakingly, amazingly beautiful.

I would like to take every county and state road that winds up the hill, away to the right...

What is over the hill? Around that curve?? Some good person, some treat for the eye, that's what!

When I remember this trip...I'll think of the smiling waitress patiently answering my husband's questions about Wayne County's many apple orchards....

the older gentleman volunteering & bustling to get the Drainage Tile Museum near Geneva, NY, ready for the collector's grandson to visit...

the young woman -another volunteer - opening the Harriet Tubman home promptly at 10, on a rainy day to 4 curious visitors....

lysie, concerned about her daughter and her daughter's dear horse,remembering her mother with such love and honor...

Waterloo, NY - Home & Origin of Memorial Day, decorating itself with flags and banners...

the couples who preserve history with hard work and little profit & open their B &Bs to strangers with hospitality and grace...

the woman at the Poughkeepsie library laughing at my husband's Korean tales and telling a few of her own about being an Air Force dependent wife in Korean War era Japan.

the man at the Van Wyck Homestead,finding book after book for me, marking the areas of interest, and THEN making sure we knew the way to another historic site in Fishkill...

Nita, proud of her area on the majestic Hudson River, and concerned about West Point and Newburgh, and their futures...

Bit, funny and knowledgeable about why such good Riesling wines come out of NY state...

the woman at the Locust Grove gift shop, who just HAD to search out the people with the Ohio license plate, because after all, she was a Buckeye native...

And whoever made the red, white and blue posters with photographs and info about the Corning Glass Works men who left for Europe, Asia, and N. Africa, and never made it back, and the shopowners displaying them along Market St. in Corning, NY....I read every one of them with sadness and awe...

The kindness, dedication, the gifts of self of all these amazing people....and believe me, these are only a few...will always be the centerpiece of this trip.

~~~With apologies to Peggy Noonan, illstillbe, and Guenevere who are such excellent writers on similar subjects!
LOLOL! I forgot all about giving the answer, Dolly! It was George Jenkins great-grandaughter's husband.
George Jenkins was/is the founder of Publix Supermarkets (very popular in the south) and Lakeland is the home base for Publix. He built 5 original stores here in Lakeland, and the one near my old house was the the 2nd or 3rd one built.
They are superior in every way possible that you could think of in a grocery store: they match any coupons, even Wal-Marts, K-Marts, etc...if you want something and they don't carry it, they will special-order it for a few weeks to see how it sells. I've lived in Florida for 11 years now, and I refuse to shop anywhere else.
As a matter of fact.....doesn't California have Publix supermarkets now, Dolly? I read that they are going to (or already have) start home-delivery services for your shopping pleasure. I'm all over that. ;-)
