We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Hans Blix lashed out at the United States in an interview with the British paper Guardian. According to that paper, Mr Blix, who retires in three weeks' time, accused:
· The Bush administration of leaning on his inspectors to produce more damning language in their reports;
· "Some elements" of the Pentagon of being behind a smear campaign against him; and
· Washington of regarding the UN as an "alien power" which they hoped would sink into the East river.
[Well, at least with the last he would be right if Washington was a euphamism for the feelings of the American people.]
In Kantafordia, Arnold Schwarzenegger delivered a speech in which, despite saying he's not running for governor (at least not yet), nevertheless called for a "voter revolution."
And The Washington Times is reporting that Rehnquist, O'Connor, and Stevens will likely remain on the Supreme Court for another year, meaning a vacancy would be less likely.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Molly had quiche, her hubby had a salad with chicken and I had a salad. For dessert, Molly had key lime pie, hubby had apple pie, vanilla ice cream. When they served the dessert, John, we thought of you. There were pretty swirly things all around the plate. :-)

I thought that the Hillary Show featuring Barbara Walters was a huge ratings hit. It came in third in the ratings that night. You would never have known that Monica beat Hillary with 3.5 times the audience hillary drew. When Barbara had Monica on in 1999 it drew 49 million viewers.
Here is the current story from the Washington Post TV page
----------------------------------------------------------
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's bob-and-weave with
Barbara Walters Sunday night scored less than a third
as many viewers as had Walters's '99 chitchat with
Monica Lewinsky, giving ABC a third-place finish in
last week's ratings race.
Here's a look at the week's Lewinskys and Clintons:
WINNERS
MTV 2003 Movie Awards averaged nearly 6 million viewers
on Thursday from 9 to 11 p.m., beating ABC, as well as
Fox, UPN and WB, which only programs up to 10 p.m.

LOSERS
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. Yes, the former first
lady's tight-lipped interview touting her new book
copped 13.5 million viewers for ABC on Sunday -- the
net's biggest summer audience in the time slot since
1995. But that number, for an interview in which
Clinton was supposed to finally talk about her
husband's affair with White House intern Monica
Lewinsky, is chump change compared with the nearly 49
million who watched Walters interview Lewinsky about
her affair with President Clinton.

The hillary show was not all it was represented to be.

Thanks for that info.
You know that will bug Hillary that Monica had a larger audience.

Did you have to submit you entire family tree for a background check? No, although I did have to supply a letter of good conduct from the local police station. Y'all might know that I live in a country different from the US. Each time we renew our license we must take a written test. They very kindly supply us a test in English. What was funny yesterday was that the grader, although he could see which answer I circled, he couldn't read english well enough to know if the answer I circled was the correct one. Even funnier was that he graded my test and my female friend's test first. We made a 100. But then, my hubby turned in his test. The question which stumped the grader was answered differently than the way my friend and I answered. But since he had given us females a 100 he felt he had to give my husband a 100 also. LOL! We can't have a woman making a higher grade than a man.

Lysie! No problem about being emotional about a friend. I am too. Very much so.
Did you catch the news report yesterday that Spectacular Bid died at the age of 27. This horse won two legs of the Triple Crown, but in the Preakness a safety pin had caused an infection in the hoof and he was off speed.
In the 30 starts of his racing career, he won 26 and was in the money for the other four. He then was retired to stud and continued in that career until he died this week. There will be a crop of 2004 yearlings which he sired.
What a horse!

I got your email. I'm not surprised that Mom wants to read that book But I am surprised that my 103 year old grandmother wants to read it, too.
Grandma would have died of shame a long time ago if any of her offspring had acted in the way that pair of Ahab-and-Jezebel redux act.

Yes. I did. Twenty seven??? That means our new colt could outlive me. LOL
Funny...no matter how detached I try to be with my pets... because of this sort of thing this morning...I can't.
The pleasure they give me it too great to fluff off like that.
How is your headache? Gone, I hope.
