There is a lot of grumbling here. I can't quite put my finger on it. I understand that some teachers have spoken to Uncle John (KT's dad) about it. There is a large turnover, Uncle Dave and Aunt Jane are thinking of not coming back; D.M. has left the school and Uncle Myron and Aunt Vangie are considering other options as well.
Something is very wrong when the long-term people are considering bailing.

It seems we're the only two on this thread. Everyone else must be on the Live Thread. I would like to see a Triple Crown winner, even if he isn't "all there."

Funny Cide had the lead most of the race, but in the third turn Empire Maker moved in, and Funny Cide just couldn't keep up. Empire Maker, some other horse, Funny Cide.

Drat! Apparently Funny Cide can't make the length in the rain.
Maybe next year.

OK, you killed the thread. Put your hands up, back away from the keyboard, and assume the position. There will be an Admin Moderator showing up at your door shortly.

LOL!
I'm just going to sit here and talk to myself. I have nothing of importance to say.
I hate it when there's a perfectly good sandbox, with nobody to play with.

Are you bored yet? OK, it's Saturday, and everyone has a life, and you don't, so all you do is type to a board when no one is there.
Quite amussing don't ya think?
Sheesh.

Secretariat was the greatest race horse to ever live. Amen to that!
We all watched the Belmont and were disappointed that Funny Cide couldn't capture the triple crown. But wasn't it a great race otherwise?

Evening all. Just checking in. We had a grand time on the cruise, I'm trying to adjust to real life again (like finding dinner on my own.) I fly home tomorrow, and I think reality will hit.
I had an interesting cab ride to the hotel I am staying at. The cab driver (from Haiti) said he knew where it was, and he didn't. We must have stopped five times to ask for directions. I forgot to get the address before I left home. I won't do that again. And I accidentally erased my photos on my digital camera. Sigh.
I logged onto my computer, and there was my Siamese kitty on the background. Made me homesick just a bit to see her.

The greatest horse who ever lived was Exterminator, also known as "Old Bones." He raced back in the 20's. My grandad saw him race, and bought me a book about him when I was a kid.
I am also looking forward to the movie about Seabiscuit.

Miami! Coral Gables to be specific.
