Temper-Pedic Mattress Questions (Need Help)

Posted on 05/21/2003 12:52:38 PM PDT by Mpatl

Do any Freepers have advice on a new mattress? It's worst than buying a used car. I like the Tempur-Pedic, but it's a little expensive. Any reviews or remarks would be appreciated!

Too funny! But, the question is what type of mattress are you going to sleep on?

Any claminess to it at all? One of the other posts mentioned this about the Tempur-Pedic.

Or, is there anything you don't like about it?

May I ask about your online source for the clammy claim?

I emailed the guy at this webpage

http://www.naimark.net/tempur-pedic-sucks.html

and he emailed me back.

Go buy yourself a Select Comfort.

Seconded. Select Comfort is the best built, most comfortable bed I've ever owned. 5 years before I bought my select comfort, I splurged on a top of the line mattress that was billed as state of the art, super durable. Worn out and uncomfortable in 5 years. In contrast, my select comfort is still going strong. Additionally, if you move, the select comfort bed packs down and sets up easily and you don't have to worry about breaking springs/bedframes.

simply opt for the pillow top option. We've never experienced any clammy-ness and we live in the humid northeast.

By the way I do own a select-comfort bed as well. The mattress leaks and I've tried everything to find the leak, including holding it in the pool trying to find bubbles. I suppose I could send it back for repairs but even brand new it wasn't near as comfortable as the TempurPedic
