Ok, so I watched it tonight for the first time. I had to since he's from Raleigh and this is the biggest news around here.
Is it always this hard to get through? I've been trying for 1 hr 45 min. since 8 pm and all I get is a busy tone. I'm gonna wear out my redial button.

Been trying for 47 mins!!!

Am wearing the print off the "redial" button and still can't get through ;^(
To: AlwaysLurking
I can't get through either. That 3 hours should be extended IMO.
To: mystery-ak
...one thing in your favor is that you are not a dead dem voter.
Not only alive (thank You God!) -- and a Republican, but I've voted three times now. ;)

Please put me on this too! Thanks much.

Oops, meant above message for you, sorry!

Ok Howlin, I KNOW you've been waiting for my unbiased report of tonight's show, so here it is:
Round 1: Ruben sounds better than he has in a few weeks; not quite as raspy. Good job.
Clay did fine; typical superb performance. Neither song was all that great, but I'll give the slight nod to Clay.
Round 2: Imagine if they picked a song like that for Ruben. I cringed when I heard that if was "Imagine". But Reubed did suprisingly well with such a crappy song.
Clay's performance was just OK; nothing special. Round 2 to Ruben.
Round 3. Well done by both. Ruben & Clay showed off their strong points; Ruben with his sultry style that really touches your soul. Clay hitting those notes like only he can.
Overall: It's a tossup. No matter what happens, both will have fantastic careers. But I believe from the audience's reaction in the past few weeks, Ruben has impressed in a way that no one else has. He has touched the hearts of the fans in a way that Clay hasn't. Is he a better singer than Clay? Technically, no. Clay has a superior range and vocal ability. But there's something about Ruben.
RUBEN IS YOUR AMERICAN IDOL.........BY 3%

I hope you voted for Clay cause I can't get through after almost 2 hours straight. I wonder if it has something to do with me calling from Raleigh?
Keep voting for those of us that can't, as long as it's Clay you're voting for of course ; )

It's going to get worse because the show rolls across the country into new time zones and those people are added to the east coast people trying to get thru........boo hoo......my redial finger is wearing out!!!

Voting from Florida (I know..I know...) and for weeks I haven't been able to get a vote in for Clay before 9:55. I'm just now starting to call in tonight.
