Probably the funny looking person taking the picture is what did it. In general I've been a happy person thru life...Found it didn't pay to fret about things one can't change....Just pull up ones socks and get on with it....lol

On a lighter note Having a screamer or howler next door is funny the first couple of times, but it gets tiring real fast.

Those are odd looking ducks....Any idea what kind they are??? I think those oare Merganzers, not ducks at all, but I never heard of domesticated ones.

You can't tell by looking either. My son had a true love who was a small demure quiet mouse. She also got them tossed out of a motel for not being able to control her howls.
I imagine she is going to lead an interesting life.

We have mostly Mallards around here, but sometimes they get mixed in with lord knows what from the looks of them. Think folks get exotics and some get loose to mix with the wild ducks......

Here are a bunch of images of mergansers - I haven't seen any that look quite like these though... I don't see it either, but generally any "duckie" with very smooth feathers on the head and then a ruff of feathers on top is a merganzer.
These may be somebodies exotic pets from who knows where. I hunted ducks in the Central Flyway for 40 years and never saw anything that looked like them, either in the wild or in the identification guides.
