Yes.
A mountain with a bit of an attitude problem.
But it is a pretty pic, I agree.

Westy...what a gorgeous picture of a mountain with the sunset/rise behind it..breaththaking.
Just watching the news about the Peterson case ruling today.. Autopsy stays sealed and MG gets all the tapes and they will also be given at sometime to media people who intervied Snotty Scotty. Also said he cried today during the proceeding..first show of emotion ( since Diane Sawye interview) and I am not buying it. Wonder who payed for the acting lessons?

Hi you all. It's a beautiful day here...sunny and warm finally. Wish I had more flowers in bloom, but the Peonies are getting close, and a couple Lupine are in near bloom.
Al's back at Dyan's finishing up her chain-link fence, and hoping he gets it finished today. Me, I just took an hours nap and don't know what to do at the moment, 'cept get into some trouble.. ;)

My impression of the guy when I first saw him, by the way he stood and spoke, was that he did it and was hoping to make an escape.
The mere fact that he dyed his hair and was heading to Mexico says something. (I liked teh touch that the police put on it, they'd been watching him all along. That's the only reason they picked him up so quickly.)
The last time there was a volcano anywhere near my area was when it was still connected to the european continent. Th ePalisades are the remains of a volkanic dike, and certain highway cuts around my area run through basalt and solidified ash flows.

Good morning, for it still is only morning out here on the Pacific Northwest...was offline all day yesterday, due to unseasonably warm weather here...needed to be outside, and in the yard, doing yardwork....blue skies, temps in the 80s, no rain....its been just beautiful here the past few days....today it might even get up to 90....unseasonably warm for this time of year...and luckily, at nite, the temps are just in the upper 40s...perfect for sleeping...
Westy, your pics of yourself as a little one are just too cute...and your pics of our Mt. Rainier, are just spectacular...
Grannie...caught that wonderful pic of Miss Chloe...she is just such a little beautiful doll...and so very happy....what a sweetie she is...

You were AWOL due to warm weather?!
I'm shipping myself out your way.
TTFN, be back when I get there.

We can hardly believe our good luck in the string of days with warm temps, blue skies and no rain....its a little early, and waiting for the dreary weather to roll back in for a while....but for now, I am in heaven with such wonderful weather...
Its so ironic, we have so much beautiful scenery in this area, with the Olympic Mountains to the west, and the Cascades to the east...and Puget Sound , and the bays....but our skies are so cloudy most of the year, that its hard to see all the scenery....
But when we have crisp blue skies, Mt. Rainier is out, and all the other mountains are visible, and its just gorgeous around here...being that we see the mountains only for a certain few number of days per year, ,we hardly take them for granted...

You realise you're tempting me to head out that way.
Right?

Well, you best hurry...the weather around here changes very quickly...by early next week, the clouds will be rolling back in, and our highs will be only in the lower 70s....
We have to take advantage of the great weather whlle we can...tho once July gets here, the rain is pretty much gone until late September or early October...by Halloween, its completely dismal again...
We just have a few months of wonderful weather, but when it finally does arrive, no place can compare...

Here in New york we can expect rain, rogue tornados, drought, drought during torrential rain, extreme dry heat spells, and cold dry winters followed by odd blizzards here and there.
I miss Oklahoma and Fort Sill therein.
At least there the weather was somewhat predictable. Hot during teh day, cold at night, rain during both maybe.

Of course, here we have the threat of earthquakes...that last big one we had, the Nisqually Earthquake, really rattled our house, and did minor damage...we live only a few miles from where the epicenter of the Nisqually Earthquake, took place, so it was the scariest time I ever had, concerning the weather, since I have lived out here...but I am willing to stay here, and take my chances...
Having been raised in Chicago, I lived through those hot humid summers, frozen, blizzardy winters, just about having only 2 weeks of actual spring, and 2 weeks of actual fall weather...I miss the culture of Chicago, its museums, its zoos, and clubs, and restaurants, and all that there is to do in Chicago...but I surely do not miss Chicago weather...

The worst quake that so far has happened this way was the 4.0 this year. Odd part was that no-one really noticed it.
Some sci-types at an 'outpost' looked at their seismographs and said, "Oh gee, we just had an earthquake."
Something I miss seeing, but do not miss experiencing, watching storms float across miles of flatness in northern Ohio.

Sleepless in Seattle 2 ought to be about this sequence, along the same lines as Dante's Peak.

Hi there Dog.. Those poor little flowers have been so beaten with the rain and wind, it's a wonder they have survived at all.
They have been pointing down a lot lately and wet and bedraggled.. They look so pretty when they're dry..
