New Roswell Witness! [81 year old wife of involved sgt]
UNKNOWN COUNTRY Daily News of the Edge ^ | 11 APR 2003 | ANNE ROBBINS, ANNE STRIEBER ED

Posted on 05/17/2003 12:01:07 PM PDT by Quix

Anne Robbins now lives in Midland, Texas. She's the widow of a career military man who was stationed in Roswell during the Roswell crash in July, 1947. She remembers the description of the saucer that her husband, Technical Sergeant Ernest Robert Robbins, told her he helped recover and the three small beings that were found outside the craft. Now 84 years old, Robbins has never before spoken publicly about Roswell, but she now says that what her late husband saw was not a downed weather balloon.

Seated in a meeting room at the Odessa Meteor Crater Museum, she said, "We had been to a dinner party at the NCO [non-commissioned officers] club on the base and didn't get home until 10:30 or 11. We'd already gone to bed but weren't yet asleep when everything outside lit up like it was daylight. It was like that for what seemed like several minutes, and we both assumed that it was probably helicopters from the base with searchlights on." Soon afterwards, her husband received a phone call and told her he had to report to the base. "I just assumed that there had been a plane crash somewhere nearby," she says. "But I couldn't figure why my husband, a sheet-metal man who repaired planes, was called in."

She was even more puzzled when he returned home the 18 hours later, with his uniform wrinkled and damp. "I asked him what had happened to him, why he was so wet, and he told me he'd had to go through the decontamination tank at the base. I asked, 'In your clothes?' and he said, 'They were what I was wearing when I was out there.' He told me, 'Well, I guess you might as well know; it's going to be in the papers. A UFO crashed outside of Roswell.'

"I told him he was crazy. 'No,' he replied, 'I'm not.' I don't remember him being particularly shocked or very emotional about it. In fact, he seemed cool as a cucumber. He just made it clear to me that he wasn't going to talk about it."

The following morning, she says, "I asked him again if it was really true and he said, yes, it was." When she asked what the UFO looked like, he explained that "if you took two saucers and put them together, that's what it looked like." On the top layer, there were oblong-shaped windows all the way around the craft. He had not looked inside. "I asked him if there was anybody on it. He said, 'I can tell you this much: There were three people. One was dead and two were still alive. I can't tell you anything more.'"

It was not until several days later that Sergeant Robbins finally agreed to drive his wife out to the crash site. By then, all debris had been cleared away. "He didn't say much of anything until we got to a place where there was this big burned spot, a perfect circle so black that it was shiny. No normal fire could have made something like that." It looked like the sand had been melted and turned into a sheet of black glass. "This," he said, "is where I was for 18 hours."

"On the drive home," she says, "I asked him what happened to the spaceship, what happened to the people who were on it. He said, 'I can't tell you that; don't ask me any more.'" That was the last time he ever spoke about it, until he retired from the Air Force in 1961. He died of a heart attack in January, 2000.

Following his retirement, the family moved to Saginaw, near Fort Worth, and he worked first for General Dynamics, then LTV, as an aircraft repairman. "It was years later, when our kids were in high school, that our son Ronald was working on some kind of report on unidentified flying objects and asked his father to tell him about what happened back in Roswell. He didn't say much, basically just what he'd told me years earlier," she says.

"But you know how kids are. Ronald kept asking questions, like what the men found at the crash looked like. Finally, Papa [as she called him] got a pencil and drew this pear-shaped head with large black eyes. Their skin, he said, was brown and they had no nose, no mouth. When Ronald asked him what their bodies looked like, all he would say was, 'Son, you don't want to know about that.'"

She says, "[Ronald] wouldn't talk to you about it…Barbara, my daughter, tells me, 'Daddy's dead, don't bring it up.'"

"All I remember," says their daughter, Barbara Wattlington, "was Dad saying he was stationed in Roswell and that a UFO crashed there."

The last time Anne Robbins remembers her husband talking about it was a few years before his death, when they sat in their Saginaw living room one evening, watching a show about Roswell on TV. "I asked him, 'Was it a hoax?' and all he said was, 'It's the truth. It did land.' I asked him, 'Well, if it did, where is it?' He again said he couldn't tell me that."

She says, "I could never figure out why an airplane repairman would be called out in the middle of the night to participate in the investigation of a crashed UFO." Only after filing her husband's death certificate with military officials in Washington, D.C., did she learn that he had intelligence clearance during his time in Roswell. "That UFO they found didn't just fly away, so where is it?" she says. "And what happened to the people on it? I still say the Air Force knows what happened. Someday, I hope, we might find out the truth."

Either one believes that the CEO of Fairchild Industries is lying or she's not.

Appeal to authority is not proof--but you even managed to get her background wrong. She WAS (note the past tense) head of R&D there.

She is now heading up an effort to ensure that America remains vulnerable to ballistic missile attack. She is NOT a friend of this republic or its citizens.

All we have is her word, without any verification--and she's demonstrated that she's perfectly willing to lie about ballistic missile defense to advance her agenda.

If she's not--then Werner was either lying or he was not.

And, conveniently, he's not around to ask if he actually said this--we stuck with Carol. Given her pre-existing credibility issue, she's not much to bank on.

Near his death, he had little motivation for lying about such matters.

You keep making ASSUMPTIONS, and then you treat them as ESTABLISHED FACT.

HE LOGICALLY WAS IN A POSITION TO KNOW about such plans of the puppet masters even back in 1970-1975.

You haven't demonstrated this, either.

I fail to understand what's so difficult about these basic facts.

They are not FACTS. They are ASSERTIONS from a woman who has an allergy to facts she doesn't like.

I suppose it's POSSIBLE that you could have some vested interest motivation in throwing cold water on such stories.

Quix, I really am very patient with you.

But if you EVER question my honor and integrity again, I will not be very f***ing patient at all.

Having had a TOP SECRET CRYPTO Navy Radioman security clearance, I can assure you that SOME things CAN be kept secret.

But, the record shows that there have been thousands of leaks. And they are increasingly coming into the public record with signed affidavits etc.

In scientific research with a null hypothesis, the statistics are calculated that the results are due to X.XXX% to chance or not.

In essence--the resulting stat asserts that SOMETHING is THERE vs NOTHING is there. . . . whatever the hypothesis was about.

1.000 reliability asserts that there's one chance in 1,000 that the found results of the study could have occurred by chance assuming the design and stats were all kosher and solid.

So, if you say SOMETHING'S THERE but there really isn't--that's a Type I error.

To say NOTHING'S THERE but there really IS SOMETHING there--would be a TYPE II error.

Tin-foil hat flingers seem to be addicted to a HUGE BIAS for risking a TYPE I error instead of a TYPE II error.

When I was a kid, I remember one time my dad ran in the house in the morning, after finishing up his nites work, at Sunbeam Corp. in Chicago...he usually got home around 7:30 in the morning, and set down and had breakfast, and then would lay down to get his 'days' sleep...he was a nite worker, day sleeper...He would leave the house at 10pm, so it was always pitch black out, by the time he left for work...

But on this one morning, he ran into the house, looked all flush, and ran straight for his easel, his canvas and his oil paints...he said he had seen something the nite before on his way to work, and he wanted to paint it while it was still fresh in his mind...

And so he set about making this painting...the painting shows three different crafts, all the same in shape, but in varying degrees of size...they were triangular shaped, with smaller looking triangles poking out at different places along one of the edges...

Dad says, he was driving to work, and all of a sudden he saw these three things in the sky, just hovering, silent...they were immensely bright, and odd looking, in the shape I described, ,and like nothing he had ever seen before..and then just as quickly and silently, they disappeared from view, all at once...

Dad was not the sort of man to imagine things, or make things up...if you told dad something, you had better be ready to back up what you said, or show some sort of proof...I do believe, that he was scared our of his wits, and really did see something that he could not explain...he never went so far to say that it was 'space aliens' or a 'flying saucer', but he could never offer any explanation to himself or to us, of what he had seen...

So we were all excited...the following weekend, my parents, my brother and I, and my aunt and uncle and cousins who lived downstairs, all went out to the Forest Preserves, outside of Chicago, to watch the skies and the heavens and hopefully see something...

We all laid down on blankets, and we all had our binoculars...as we were laying there, all of a sudden my aunt screamed she had seen something bright fly across the lens of her binoculars...we all got excited, until dad noted that he had flicked his cigarette into the grass, and this was undoubtedly what she saw..well we all had a good laugh at this...

And that pointed out something very important...sometimes you see something in the sky, you cannot explain, and later someone does explain it...like dad with his cigarette...

But other times, ,you see something up in the sky, for which no one has any rational explanation...and that is what I believe my dad saw....

For myself, I do indeed believe, that somewhere in the depths of space, life does exist...

Oh, I think you are above average patient with me given all the givens.

But to be as thorough as YOU ASSERT I NEED TO BE, one has to raise the issue and NOT ASSUME 100% too much about you, either. Isn't that necessary for complete intellectual honesty and integrity?

And while I'm happy that I believe you--your assertions aren't exactly proof either.

I agree that Dr Rosin is on the wrong side of what I feel is needed in terms of missile defense. I don't know about her lying about unpleasant facts in such matters.

I don't know about missing her CEO position accurately. It's been a long time since I looked at that. I could have easily mangled it in my memory.

I still say, your construction on the reality doesn't match my sense of Dr Von Braun NOR her psychologically. It would just not fit my reading of their personalities nor their motivations to believe your assumptions about them.

Thanks for your kind reply.

I think I'm one of his favorite recreational projects.

I enjoy being of use/service to others.

But I'm not sure this is my favorite version! grin.

There CERTAINLY SEEMS TO BE

a HUGE amount of convoluted, contradictory bunch of even

'more reliable' data out there.

Add in deliberate ET and Government DISINFORMATION

and Alice's rabbit hole becomes extremely complex.

Corporate Manager of Fairchild Industries, Spokesperson for Wernher Von Braun, Dr. Carol Rosin Von Braun [rocket science pioneer] told me [in 1974] the reasons for space-based weaponry were all based on a lie.

Much as characters in Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged asked "Who is John Galt?", I am left to ask, "Who is Dr. Carol Rosin?"

She is, from several web searches, intent on getting an international treaty that would ban any missile defenses with space-based components, said treaty to be enforced by a supranational organization.

She has LIED about what kinds of weapons would be employed and how they would be used.

In short, you're listening to an enemy of freedom, someone who'd REALLY prefer that we not be able to stop an Russian or Chinese nuclear strike, accidental or deliberate.

THANKS FOR YOUR GREAT STORY.

I have 0% trouble believing it.

Do you have a photo of the painting you could post and make available for viewing?

You are VERY welcome. Thanks for your kind reply.

I believe they are going to be part of what the Bible talks about as the GREAT DECEPTION of the end times--so great that WERE IT POSSIBLE Believers themselves would be fooled.

But just what, how and therefore what is still a very complex, mystifying thing to me.

So, I collect puzzle pieces. Occasionally, one makes a little more sense or the vision of the whole a bit clearer.

I can easily give you that, Poohbah.

And, it is REASONABLE to ASSUME that she MIGHT be lying about other things.

It is ALSO REASONABLE to give her the benefit of the doubt on other things.

She is, after all, FROM HER PERSPECTIVE trying to SAVE THE PLANET FROM EITHER UNNECESSARY DEATH AND TRAUMA--OR PERHAPS EVEN FROM TOTAL EXTINCTION BY ET'S UNNECESSARILY IRRITATED. I can imagine sane people doing strange things averse to their normal values and integrity when faced with such a choice or contingency.

Can't you imagine that?

I think she's wrong. I think a LOT of the ET races are evil by background and nature or by being in league with satan.

But regardless--I also think the puppet masters have structured things that ALMOST REGARDLESS OF HOW THE PUBLIC LEANS, they will play into their hands.

Whether we welcome ET's as saviors or fight them as terminating ID4 enemies, we'll end up playing into the hands of those bent on a global government of tyranny.

I'd prefer people wake up to those contingency possibilities.

Can you AT ALL REMOTELY IMAGINE why I might think along such lines?

To me, demolishing my sources is a matter of definition.

I would NOT EXPECT this vast convoluted area to have the sorts of proof convincing to you until it was all over but the shouting and far too late to do anything about it.

The press and a lot of other things have been far TOO successfully controlled far too long.

Thankfully, the global government tyranny control freaks have construed God as nonexisting or else due to be bested by satan.

Thankfully, I have found God to be far otherwise. And I've read the end of the Book. We win.

No, I sure dont have a photo of the painting...in fact, I dont even have the painting...

Dad got sick with cancer many, many years later...my aunt, his sister, helped me take care of him, as my mom was now unable to help, as she had Alzheimers...

After dad died, I allowed his sister to take a number of items, of dads, in thankfulness for her help, and in rememb rance of dad, who she so loved...

Tho I am sure she still has the painting hanging up in her home...we visit her every few years, as she lives in a different state than we do...but we do plan to visit her again, this fall, so I will remember to take a pic of the painting, and post it then...

That would be wonderful!

Perhaps your aunt has a computer and a digital camera?

I'll send you privately my email address in case you are able to send such that way some time.

Am thrilled at the possibility of seeing the painting.

Blessings.

It is ALSO REASONABLE to give her the benefit of the doubt on other things.

Joe Blow stole $20 from you.

You going to trust him with $100?

She is, after all, FROM HER PERSPECTIVE trying to SAVE THE PLANET FROM EITHER UNNECESSARY DEATH AND TRAUMA--OR PERHAPS EVEN FROM TOTAL EXTINCTION BY ET'S UNNECESSARILY IRRITATED.

What we know: she's a liar.

I can imagine sane people doing strange things averse to their normal values and integrity when faced with such a choice or contingency.

Maybe I'm not making myself clear: she's LIED about this stuff, and you still want to trust her.

Can't you imagine that?

No.

I can imagine someone deliberately lying in order to keep my country vulnerable to nuclear attack.

That tells me all I need to know--she wants American to remain vulnerable to nuclear attack.

I swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

She's self-ID'd as a domestic enemy of the Constitution. The only reason is why, and I don't recall the why being especially important, only the what.
