When I was a kid, I remember one time my dad ran in the house in the morning, after finishing up his nites work, at Sunbeam Corp. in Chicago...he usually got home around 7:30 in the morning, and set down and had breakfast, and then would lay down to get his 'days' sleep...he was a nite worker, day sleeper...He would leave the house at 10pm, so it was always pitch black out, by the time he left for work...

But on this one morning, he ran into the house, looked all flush, and ran straight for his easel, his canvas and his oil paints...he said he had seen something the nite before on his way to work, and he wanted to paint it while it was still fresh in his mind...

And so he set about making this painting...the painting shows three different crafts, all the same in shape, but in varying degrees of size...they were triangular shaped, with smaller looking triangles poking out at different places along one of the edges...

Dad says, he was driving to work, and all of a sudden he saw these three things in the sky, just hovering, silent...they were immensely bright, and odd looking, in the shape I described, ,and like nothing he had ever seen before..and then just as quickly and silently, they disappeared from view, all at once...

Dad was not the sort of man to imagine things, or make things up...if you told dad something, you had better be ready to back up what you said, or show some sort of proof...I do believe, that he was scared our of his wits, and really did see something that he could not explain...he never went so far to say that it was 'space aliens' or a 'flying saucer', but he could never offer any explanation to himself or to us, of what he had seen...

So we were all excited...the following weekend, my parents, my brother and I, and my aunt and uncle and cousins who lived downstairs, all went out to the Forest Preserves, outside of Chicago, to watch the skies and the heavens and hopefully see something...

We all laid down on blankets, and we all had our binoculars...as we were laying there, all of a sudden my aunt screamed she had seen something bright fly across the lens of her binoculars...we all got excited, until dad noted that he had flicked his cigarette into the grass, and this was undoubtedly what she saw..well we all had a good laugh at this...

And that pointed out something very important...sometimes you see something in the sky, you cannot explain, and later someone does explain it...like dad with his cigarette...

But other times, ,you see something up in the sky, for which no one has any rational explanation...and that is what I believe my dad saw....

For myself, I do indeed believe, that somewhere in the depths of space, life does exist...

THANKS FOR YOUR GREAT STORY.

I have 0% trouble believing it.

Do you have a photo of the painting you could post and make available for viewing?
