Lone Star Chat

Rally for America!

Our Texas Locale page recently got very busy on the unusual topic of Ouija boards and such. Archy suggested a Lone Star Thread That Will Not Die. Like those darn Hobbit threads with 30,000+ posts.

This is not my thread and I'm not going to baby sit it every day. I just gathered the kindling and y'all have to start the fire.

"we are quite chilly in PA this evening......."

Doing a little bragging there, huh?

What a mess. Somehow we ended up downtown and eventually made it to the loop last week. Coming back we took the N loop to 59. Stop and start for miles. We had went to pick up a truck. Exits just appeared with very little warning. I had the edge though. I was following my husband and when I needed to get over and couldn't he would just slow down and let me in :')

I don't think Houston is ever going to change.
The construction is going to be forever, if not there, someplace else that you need to get to.

"you were thinking this girl was a mess before you got to the end of her profile page,"

Well, actually I thought she was a lesbian.
I'll bet every man who reads that has the same thoughts:
"Hummm....blonde, single, good-looking..OH, CRAP! She's a lesbian!"

2.What did yall do with the ASTRODOME? :'(

We built a big ol' football stadium next to it.

Houston is a very soggy city today. It has been raining on and off since the wee hours of the morning and expected to continue like this for the next couple of days.

Ark-building contest, anyone?

Well, the area of I-10 going to Winnie has been under construction since Noah was a boy.
I think they build stuff in the daytime then tear it up at night.

I've went out with some dawgs in my time (no offense, Cindy), but since I quit drinking I don't have to worry about chewing my arm off in the mornings.

Construction? No idea at all. Although they have finally started to finish up the south end (59) and it is running smoothly (after five years). Now that they have the extra lanes in, the increase in populated demands more lanes though.

As for the dome - They built a stadium next to it in the parking lot. Then they decided to leave the dome - so now there are two large facilities plus extra buildings and no parking to speak of. (I think the waiting list for season parking passes is longer than the waiting list for Texans season tickets.)

Hi Cindy, just got back tonight from my daughters in Harlingen. We went to Progresso Saturday and Sunday. Very crowded and hot!!

I-59 has been open between Victoria and Houston. Beyond that, I don't know. There seemed to be rain everywhere we went today - Monday! LOTS of traffic too.

Can you believe this weather? I'm trying to take riding lessons before I buy a horse and my lessons have been canceled the last two weeks. The trainer told me that her riding pens are 3 inches under water (Los Fresnos).

Wow, 3 inches, that will take awhile to dry up. Riding lessons sounds like fun for you!! We had horses for the kids when they were young and I used to give it a try from time to time.

They always wanted to run back to the barn, LOL!
