And, My home page is changed and wont stay at what I set it at, and when I run AdAware, it tells me Ihave nothing wrong!! HELP!!!

You can't change your home page back?
You might have to make it into a boat anchor!

Go to
http://www.mozilla.org/ and download mozilla. When you first run it go to edit preferences and disable popups. Dump MicroSoft InternetExplorer. Trust me. Mozilla will solve the problem. Do it now.

I get 10 pop ups automatically,
it keeps resetting my home page by itself!!
I keep changing it back, the tryin gto reboot
Does anyone know of a software that kills the people who did this?
Where is the file that stores my home page in the IE directory? I can delete it maybe?

Is this a virus or spyware?

Mozilla? Come now. You like having to download the Sun Java and have an inferior email client?
To: RaceBannon
No, Mozilla is a public domain browser, based upon the original Netscape. Some people use Mozilla to protest against the Microsoft cartel, but in my book it is an inferior browser. Get AdsGone and you will be fine.
To: RaceBannon; Ramius
I don't know the answers to your questions, maybe Ramius does.

I have deleted every cookie I can. my next step is to finish this download reeccommended, or go to my explorer, and delete every .exe file that has a recent date!
To: RaceBannon; ecurbh
Hang on.... someone hijacked me once, and I think my brother Ramius walked me back out of it.... I just don't know if he is around.
ecurbh? - are you around and able to help?
To: RaceBannon
You poor thing. Thinking good thoughts for you of no pop-ups.

(I don't have a tag tag.)

It's a substitute for Internet Explorer. I've been using it for about a month. No popups.

You like having to download the Sun Java and have an inferior email client? Mozilla comes with its own mail program that is equivalent to OutLook Express.

Just on my way out the door...
I would reccommend using AdAware (
http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/) to scan your system and remove whatever was installed to cause this.
I also cannot reccommend Mozilla highly enough - been using it almost exclusively for over a year now, and have yet to get an unrequested popup window.

Actually, I saw it kill a few popups, so, I still need to find the software that is causing it!!
And, it still changed my home page on me again, but the popups are gone anyways

Does anyone know of a software that actually FINDS the culprit that causes this?
Somethng that does more than just stop the pop ups?
I would like to delete the actual software code that causes it!
To: RaceBannon
Ad Aware lets you know what process is causing the popups, and that lets you search for the offending software and uninstall it.
