We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
The BBC has criticized American networks for their "Gung Ho" coverage of the War Against Iraq.
The World Health Organization travel restrictions to certain areas - Canada, Vietnam, and Hong Kong - are likely to be eased over the next few weeks. The reason, according to a senior WHO official, is the world will learn "to live with the [SARS] virus."
Meanwhile, Communist Party officials still say the SARS caseload in Shanghai is still a "state secret."
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Magnificent photograph. Makes me cry.
American graves are the best kept sites in all of Europe. It is because we uphold the individual. Individual Americans feel for every American life given to protect us. Europeans think that individual sacrifice is for society in general. Americans think that individual sacrifice is for the nation on behalf of the individual.
The difference is entirely political. Our system is to uphold the individual. Theirs is to uphold the State. That is why we care for our graves, and they don't.

Food for thought...Whew, what a picture.
There is a Fl congress critter by the name of Brown-Waite (R), that has sponsored a bill to bring those heros home. French soil is not worthy of our fallen warriors' remains.

LOL! Just checking in for a moment.

Man, it'd be a gem to know what Franks was thinking! Like every successful commander, Franks had to consider variables beyond strictly military matters. All the criticism of The Plan ignore this. Remember Turkey, remember Saudi Arabia (overflight restrictions), remember WMD and world opinion. Franks had to accomodate all that, and, most importantly, he had to get it done quick.
I don't think McArthur faced so many political conditions as Franks. Eisenhower certainly did, and his performance earned him two tours in the Oval Office.

French soil is not worthy of our fallen warriors' remains. And if they ever have their behind in a sling again, I would suggest it's not in our interest to get it out.

Mr. Chairman, I propose that we will do whatever is right despite the French. They are a nail in history. We are the hammer. Every now and then, it seems, we have to bring it down upon their heads.
While our Revolution applied God's will to a political structure, the French Revolution showed that denying God is not a good idea.

Just now watching the President's interview with Brokaw (sp?). He's relaxed, confident and humble. His respect for his advisors, Centcom, the CIA, the pilots... is stunningly evident. It's a wonder to watch.
I know that his critics call him cocky. They don't get it. This is a great interview, despite Brokaw and all the NBC editing and commentary. I wish it were a straight interview. Oh well.
Btw, he wouldn't be saying all this if he weren't sure of the outcome.

Still watching the NBC interview with the President... it's all the more enjoyable with Common Tator's explanation of Brokaw. Click on CT's "in forum" for a gem.
CT basically called him the TV weather guy. He's got an unbelievable voice and great TV presence... and he's a moron. His questions are beyhond predictable. They are trite. The President is doing an end-run, a la Reagan, as CT explained.

This interview is marvelous. I hope you folks watch it. Brokaw keeps throwing every leftist bean ball, as CT calls it, and the President keeps knocking it out of the park.
CT, I know you think the President has failed in the Senate. As I see it from this interview, he's going around the Senate just as he's outrunning Brokaw. Yes, he has a few battles there yet (thank God for Speaker Hastert). He's saying everything right in this interview. It'll be damned tough to run against him in '04. Battles are often smaller than the war.

Continuing Nicollo's monologue on this interview...
Brokaw had to bring up Jesus. Nothing incenses the Left so much as the President's faith.
Anybody see the Atlantic Monthly article "The mind of George W. Bush"? The author couldn't bear the President's faith. Neither can Brokaw.

Back from my week-long orientation for my new job. I'm glad that's done with, although I had a pretty good time and was glad to spend a good amount of time with the other new employees. It's going to be a very challenging job with not a lot of financial rewards, but I do feel much more inspired than I did earlier.

I think most of them simply do not understand a person being able to center their life around diety.
It is really vague & foreign to them

I only discovered your ongoing thread on the Prez interview afterwards. Perhaps you'll enjoy my comments, above. I had fun reading through that other thread.

Yes, you are right. The thing is that they have their own gods.
They just can't bear that the President's God is Lord.
