We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good Morning!!
The State Department is issuing a travel advisory for Ontario relating to the SARS virus.
California may run out of cash in a few weeks; their solution will be to pay vendors and others with IOUs.
Gay rights groups are upset that Sen. Santorum compared homosexuality to bigamy, polygamy, incest, and adultery.
And Hans Blix says the United States lacks credibility in its efforts to find Iraq's banned weaponry. He warned the UN Security Council that only the UN, not the US, could provide an objective assessment of anything found in Iraq. He further accused the United States and Britain in deliberately undermining his efforts before the war.
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who gave their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Well it's official.
Private E-2 Evan MozartLover was sworn in this afternoon in the city of Milwaukee in the great state of Wisconsin. He will be serving his country and his state in the Wisconsin Army National Guard; his unit is based in Madison.
He finally (after changing his mind several times) decided on a specialty. He will be serving in an infantry unit as a medic.
He begins his weekends next month and will leave Nov. 4th for basic training, followed by nine(I think) weeks of medic training.
I am as proud as can be.
To: MozartLover
Congratulations to your son and you and your husband!
To: MozartLover
Congratulations! This is a fine moment. I am proud for you, too.

Thanks!
Basic training and medic training will both be DOWN SOUTH somewhere.........I believe he said Mississippi for one or the other..........Oh yes, it was Jackson, Mississippi for basic, and Fort Sam Houston (TX) for the medic training.
Talk about climate shock.;^)
To: MozartLover
Mississippi especially. The humidity there is something fierce, especially in the summer time.
To: MozartLover
God Bless Evan! I know you must be proud of him. Tell him that many folks out here are praying for our young troops.

Thanks Jem!
To: JRandomFreeper
Thanks. I will tell him.
Texasa! He'll be going to Texas!!!

The humidity there is something fierce, especially in the summer time.Houston isn't the place you want to be piping chocolate onto birthday cakes in the summer either. 100F 100% humidity.

To: JRandomFreeper
I've never been to Houston, so I didn't know about that. :) Yikes, I can't stand humidity.
To: MozartLover
When he gets to Texas, give me a freep-mail. That is only about 5-6 hours away (driving sanely). There are some chefs I need to visit down in that neck of the woods anyway... ;>)

Congratulations to you and dad on raising such a fine soon.

Now that I've stopped to think about it. I'm not sure that Ft. Sam Houston isn't in San Antonio. I'll have to check. I'm getting old. ;>)
To: Utah Girl
It is in San Antonio. Much better in the summer than Houston.... Like maybe 78% humidity. Still don't want to have to work with chocolate in that kind of weather. ;>)

I come from Utah where it is a dry dry dry climate. Humidity just kills me.
To: JRandomFreeper
Okay! I will do that!
It won't be for a while........prolly February or so...........
To: jtill
Thankss jt!!!:)
To: Utah Girl
where it is a dry dry dry climateMy next thought was to ask about the altitude in Utah. LOL! It's not like I'm into the effects of the environment on cooking or anything.

To: Utah Girl
I hate humidity too. Unfortunately we get our share but only in the summer, and it's only a pain when it gets over 80 or so.
To: JRandomFreeper
About 5,000 feet where I live. I do perform the high altitude directions when baking here.
