No....but even a poor carpenter deserves some happiness just dreaming about it!

Dittoes on the lightening bolt.....cept it's not enough of a torturous slow death to my way of thinking.

My fondest memory of your state was a vacation we had when our kids were pretty young. We stayed in my Uncle's cabin on Vashon Island, hiked all around Ranier, went to the Olympic peninsula...ten glorious days in the nineties, no rain, all sun.

Pretty rare for your neck of the woods I'm told.

We get good stretches in the summer, say August and into September....That's on the West side of the State. Eastern WA. is a lot dryer, also colder in winter.....

Cows At California Ranch Make Like Lemmings, Run Off Cliff
POSTED: 6:36 a.m. EDT May 15, 2003

SAN FRANCISCO -- A dozen Holstein cows grazing in a field north of San Francisco suddenly decided to act like lemmings: they ran off a 50-foot cliff. Motorists say they saw the cows cascade off the hilltop, with some of the bovines tumbling end-over-end down the slate-and-gravel cliff. Marin Humane Society spokesman John Reese says the young heifers probably were spooked by a noise, or by a dog or some other animal. The Marin County Sheriff's Department says a deputy euthanized two of the cows at the scene. The others were taken to their owners at Silveira Ranch and were checked by a veterinarian. A ranch owner said cows will sometimes break fences, but not run off cliffs. She said something spooked them very badly.

HI Prentice. I went to Austin this morning to apply for a receptionist job with the Department of Agriculture. I hope I get it. I really want to move there and get started with another chapter in my life. The traffic on the way home was standstill though - so I was really tired when I finally got here and fell asleep early and then woke up at 3:30 am. *L* Now what? It's been a couple hours... maybe I'll take a nap before I have to wake up the kids.

What a great picture Loddy, poetry indeed. We have a super horse that does all this stuff, reining, cutting, working cow horse, the works. All are horses are very competive in cowclasses and performance classes.

The fun thing about having really good horses is the ranch neighbors always ask you to help out. When the wife was still holding down the home place in Idaho, she used to ride 3 to 4 days a week doing ranch stuff. Makes great horses.

"Cows At California Ranch Make Like Lemmings, Run Off Cliff"

Something boogered them to do that. Can't imagine a dog doing it...maybe a bunch of dogs. Our girls used to chase coyotes out of the pasture.

So, happy old age...I say it's better to die young....lol....

What I tell everyone is, if I would have known I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself when I was young.....maybe?
