It's been getting warmer and should be safe to plant some now

He just called me from the hospital while waiting to go to a stress test - he's still there, but feeling much much better. I hope he still feels better after this test. He sounded so awful yesterday that it was alarming. Now he just wants to go home so he can get some sleep.

I just got a really nice letter from Gavin at boot camp.
His platoon won the phase one march off between all the platoons in the company and he is really proud. Earlier that day (May 3) he had passesd all the exercises on the physical training test by a very good percentage and just has to maintain his level of fitness to pass boot camp. At 5:15 am he did 46 push-ups, 51 sit-ups and a two mile run and was done at 5:29.
He has great fun on the obstacle course (not sarcasm - he loves the rope climb, hurdles, fence jumps, barbed wire crawls, etc...)
His drill sarge is even proud of them, and said they were the fastest platoon to learn the phase one march, and did it the best he had seen since he had been a drill sarge. This experience is very good for Gavin - and I knew he was ready for it.
He attributes the success to the great teamwork within his platoon - how they all pull together and support each other without putting anyone down when they mess up.

Won't work, she won't look at it .. she won't even go in the same room as the fly. I have never seen anything like it, she has a total and complet melt down .. it just started this year.

And your letter from Gavin sounds great. I think he found his calling with the military if he is enjoying boot camp, from all the stories I've heard about boot camp, it ain't easy.

Been another long day with mom, I think I need to go rest my brain cells for a bit .. LOL

More good news. Mr Right did real well on the stress test and just called - he is on his way home. He has to go take another test of some sort tomorrow, but they are letting him go home and get some real sleep for now. He sounded like his old self again on the phone.
