Horse story:

An Amish lady is trotting down the road in her horse and buggy when she is pulled over by a cop.

"Ma'am," said the cop, "I'm not going to ticket you, but I do have to issue you a warning. You have a broken reflector on your buggy."
"Oh, I'll let my husband, Jacob, know as soon as I get home," responded the Amish lady.

"That's fine. Another thing, ma'am. I don't like the way that one rein loops across the horse's back and around one of his balls. I consider that animal abuse. Have your husband take care of that right away!" instructed the cop.

Later that day, the lady is home telling her husband about her encounter with the cop.

"Well, dear, what exactly did he say?" asked Jacob.

"He said the reflector is broken," replied the lady.

"I can fix that in two minutes. What else?" wondered Jacob.

"I'm not sure, Jacob... something about the emergency brake," said the lady.

Dont know about now, but one use to be able to get a serving of fish and chips wrapped in newspaper sheets. I use to buy one and walk down the street eating it getting funny looks from the Brits.lol

Hello big guy. Yes, David is all happy and Mark's chin is dragging on the floor!! Oh well, it gives me some computer time. You know the guy named Billy Mukult? When he was young he and his parents went to the same church as us. Billy was totally in love with Marlise (my daughter). I remember him coming up to David and shaking his hand and he kept on shaking it and shaking it and shaking it. We laugh about that now. Marlise couldn't cared less about Billy. LOL

We had storms this morning and a wild one tonight. The tornado sirens were sounding for awhile. My power has been out for a couple of hours. The streets are littered with tree branches.

I agree, my daughter did NOT make a smart decision. She's paying for it now. Going through a disgusting divorce and custody battle. Her Dad told her not to get married because 1) she was TOO young and 2) she was unequally yoked. But guess what, she is now engaged to ANOTHER hockey player. Unfortunately Robbie (Walker) was drafted to the Toronto Maple Leafs and played part of one season professionally and then he got breast cancer and the extensive surgery basically ended his professional career. He plays a lot of hockey still tho and he plays on all the local teams. He's a very very nice guy and David really really likes him. So now my grandsons are already into the skates and going to hockey games and shouting their heads off. I'm the only holdout but if I want any company I guess I'm going to have to go to some games. That bites, I tell ya. LOL
