I'm pretty much staying away from the Scott Peterson threads and not hanging over the tv coverage but there is one thing I just have to say on the topic.

..... I don't think for a minute that he was going to play golf on Friday. I think he knew he was being followed and he was using the golf course as a way to slip the surveillance (sp?) .... park the car, go out on the links (having the golf bag stuffed with money and a change of clothes, perhaps), walk off into the woods looking for a "lost" ball .... and just disappear. When they announced that he had $10,000 and his brother's ID, plus his changed appearance, it only bolstered my belief.

I don't know how far it would be from there to the Mexican border. And I'm picturing a golf course there looking like the few I have seen, with some areas wooded thus providing coverage. With the bodies having been found, I think he knew that his time was running out ..... if he was going to scram he had to do it quickly.

Is my tin foil hat on too tight?

Also, from what I have heard on tv today, I think NOW would have to get some laws overturned to win their point. I have heard someone say that CA law says that if it is a "viable fetus" (meaning the baby could survive if born .... and at 7 1/2 months that would certainly be the case) then the perp can be charged with murder. That is not the case in all states but, surprisingly, is in CA.

I'm glad someone around here is following this case.

I have to admit that the name Laci Peterson in my mind for months triggered some forgotten child abduction case from last summer.

I finally got it figured out that this was something that occurred around Christmas and that she was a missing wife and not a child. Shows how much I know....and pretty much how much I care.

I think I'm NOT a good candidate for Fox as yesterday at my parents I just couldn't understand all the attention being paid to that case. I spent more time watching MSNBC's Michael Savage. Fox may have to watch their backs of MSNBC keeps going.
