Confession: I still buy Peeps even though the kids are long gone and it's just hubby and me here now.
..... I still buy jelly beans, too.
Maybe I missed it by just skimming the thread but I didn't see any mention of this here yesterday. I hope it's the start of a trend ......

I will buy Peeps occasionally.....but my LONG HELD craving, around Eastertime, is those individually wrapped marshmallow Easter eggs with the thin candy shell.....in pastels.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those things....
There was this little 5 & dime store, when I was growing up, and the manager would bring his leftover marshmallow eggs from the back storeroom when he saw me come in.
He knew I would buy them :)))
He might have even given them to me.
Do y'all know which candy I'm talking about?
They're called Hide & Seek eggs.
It's just a childhood thing that I never outgrew. :)

I'm looking for Peeps and can't find them. I make little nests substituting Wheaties for Rice Crispies in the Crispie Treats recipe and adding green food coloring. I usually set a Peep in the middle and surround the Peep with jelly bean 'eggs'.
Sob!(this is crying,, not swearing... altho on second thought,, perhaps it's a little of each!)
Apparently, this year there will only be eggs in the Baskets.
