Thanks for the compliment, Lysie (and Kay and UG). I had hoped to start writing semi-regularly, but other than a couple of satire pieces I did after that, I never got around to it.
Is your snow gone, yet? What are your Easter plans? We've been in the 80s a couple of times and are hoping the rain holds off so the kids can do their Easter egg hunt tomorrow (instead of Sunday).

Snow is gone and it appears we will have warmer weather for the weekend.
Plans for Easter?? Haven't made any yet. Probably a small get together with mil.

I would love to see the polymer formula of the stuff they use to make Peeps...I didn't know that plastic is found in nature...;-)

Just checking in while Hannah is taking her nap.
Peeps are inedible, in my opinion. They make my fillings hurt just thinking about them.
However, they look really cute as decorations on an Easter cake. I just saw one at our grocery's bakery, yesterday.
I am partial to Russell Stover creme eggs; maple creme and chery creme are my favorites.

I have to say that Easter is my favorite holiday of all. I collect bunnies/Easter figurines....but my biggest pet peeve is trying to find spiritual ones...that reflect the true meaning of the holiday.
Maybe I'll open a business making/selling them.

Funny you should say that.
Easter is....about the risen Savior.
Sure, we associate Easter with bunnies, etc., but like Christmas, there is a main Christian reason for the season.
But I had the hardest time FINDING a real meaning of Easter card at the store....!!!-----Everything seemed to be about chicks, eggs, bunnies and chocolate!
In the special 'religious' section I finally found one.
Sheesh!

One year I even tried fashioning my own Cross, with two pieces of worn wood, some grape vines to wrap as a crown of thorns, some palms, and some miniature Easter Lilies....it came out ok..but got all cracked and dried sitting in the attic....
I'll try again next year.

The 'dime' stores I knew all had hardwood floors and they moaned and groined when you walked across them and the smell, wonderful. don't see them anymore, Kress was my favorite.
