We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
News reports are circulating rumors the Iraqi Information Minister hanged himself a few hours after the Americans arrived in Baghdad.
President Bush is calling on the UN to lift sanctions against Iraq.
General Franks toured Baghdad and greeted troops there.
Drudge is reporting that Marvel Comics is suing Sony, saying the latter has overstepped its license for Spiderman and is asking the courts to revoke Sony's license for use of the trademarked product.
The GOP has polling data that shows Daschle is in trouble in his upcoming re-election campaign in 2004.
And a study by Pew Research shows that 42% of Americans will not be reading the news posted here - now or ever - because they don't use the Internet, and don't believe they ever will. Of course, that means 58% can be reached.
Finally - do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Great commentary. I saw a poll yesterday that said if the Presidential race were run today, President Bush would win California.

I saw Rick Leventhal's interview with the fashion consultant from Las Vegas. I just about died laughing. I try to catch Leventhal's segments each night with Shep Smith, he is embedded with the Marines from Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. I love to hear the Marines say where they're from, last night the guy doing the haircuts was from American Fork, Utah, which is about 10 minutes away from where I live.

And I've killed the thread. Oh well, lunch is over, back to work...

Girl child returned from Canada yesterday.
She said it was a good trip, but did say that last Saturday, their group happened upon an anti-war protest in Montreal and that the Canadians present immediately recognized the group as Americans by the way they were dressed.
Girl child said things were starting to get a little testy and their group had to be removed from the area for safety. Otherwise, everything went well and she said she had an enjoyable time (despite the antics of a few misguided souls who cannot comprehend that teenage Americans have nothing to do with American foreign policy).

Fox is reporting that Dr. Atkins has died from his head injuries. Sad. Just when a few doubting doctors are starting to give some positive opinions on his diet.
The way I feel on carbs and off carbs is like night and day.
Thank you, Dr. Atkins. I am a believer.

despite the antics of a few misguided souls who cannot comprehend that teenage Americans have nothing to do with American foreign policy). Amazing that the children in Iraq got better treatment from our GIs while knowing perfectly well the possibility some may have been trained to be suicide bombers.
AND we are the bad guys? I think NOT.

I've been nagging Mr. ML to do that for 8 years................

I heard that news about Dr. Atkins this morning too and felt saddened. He's changed so many lives and saved thousands and thousands from an early death. My mom recently gave Atkins her second go and just yesterday we were talking about how much my brother would benefit from it. I'm afraid he's a prime candidate for diabetes if he doesn't get his weight under control.
I just got back from the postal exam. I did my best and think I did quite well, although the first two parts were discouraging because I could only get a little more than half done in the allotted time. But I can't imagine working much faster than I did and I know I did more than the guy next to me so that's OK.
Finding the next two numbers in the number sequences was my favorite part and I was pleased when I finished it, the first one done. Then I waited a couple of minutes. Then I went to the bathroom. When I came back, they were still working on it. Sheesh! If you give people enough time, they can get those things so I felt penalized for getting done so quickly.
Now I'll have to wait for 1-4 weeks to get my results. I can only put in for 3 different post offices, but there are dozens within a decent commuting area. But if I want to put in for those way far away, I can do that. Go figure.

We recently put up a chair rail in our living room and it wasn't that hard. That room used to be all paneling, but we put textured wallpaper on the top 2/3 and then painted it and put the chair rail to separate the paper from the paneling and I think it looks really sharp.
Good luck, Jim!

Me and gd went to get my car at the shop today and you know, she talked me going by the store and getting some ice cream --- 4 half gallons, different flavors, sure is strange how those little ones can talk you into doing things.

Glenn Beck was talking about that very quote this morning.
I wonder how long it will be before businesses start offering "triple guarantees" on their offers?
