Afternoon everyone!
We got back awhile ago...tired and transitioning here. I'm beginning to get my 2 lives...the one in Indiana and the one here a little mixed up. Which is the "real" one?
Helping to care for mil, taking phone messages for her, reading her cards, picking up relatives at the airport....
or my usual activities here which I'm missing so much: singing and baseball, FReeping, garden and yardwork, seeing my friends...?
Oh well, tomorrow will be better...talk to you then.

Been thinking about you & Kathryn all day......hope things went well yesterday. Hoping to hear from you soon!
Can you believe this weather??? This afternoon it was 80 degrees with bright, clear, sunny skies; an hour and a half later it was 53; now it's 47 and thunderstorming. Snow/sleet/rain expected all day tomorrow.
Hope you get back home before it gets TOO icky.......

Thank you both for your input.
I know there are 5 - 10% of the people in Iraq (A figure I heard) who are upset we are there.. they got bennies from SH & they no longer flow.
That article from German was simply awful.
Funeral for Sgt Robt Dowdy was touching..marching down the street to the church with the police mounted, VFW, many miliatry, many Viet Vets in their motorcycle garb, honor guard carrying his casket, family friends.. Tears just seeing this. Brave wife/daugher. Sgt Dowdy was 33. The father of Pvt Sloan, whose funeral was Sat was also there.
At the funeral I had long talks with many media people... I was esp pouring on the accolates to the FOX reporter.. he was smiling ear to ear in pride with what I said. I referred him to the Freepers site. told him to share with his Fox friends... that they would be pleased to read the threads with Fox praises.
but again Politicians who are anti war, anti bush, anti troops (yes)disgraced the funeral with not only their presence but taking center stage with people & media
Including Dennis Kuchinic (wannabee pres) Stephanie Tubbs (a total embarrasment of a congresswoman) and Mayor jane Campbell were there for show. Totallly disgusting..
Just a quickie.. have only a little daylight left &need to do a few things outdoors.. So, what am i doing on the computer.. You all told me this was addictive.. you are right.

Yes, sir! I'm treating like a beef stew. I'm throwing everything into it. The analogy then falls apart. Edit and revise will have most stuff taken out and what's left will be rewritten.

Hey Mozie,
We are back in Stevens Point.
Thank you all for your prayers, and thoughts.
Kathryn's surgery went just as expected.
We got to the U W Children's hospital at 10:15, and then got her prepped for surgery. We waited until almost 1:00 before they were ready for her.
She was in surgery for 2 hours, and we were finally able to see her around 4:30. WE then waited in the recovery room for her to get her into full recovery mode. She smiled a half smile while she was in the room, and gave a thumbs up. She then went back to sleep.
We finally got her into her own room about 5:00, and then Betsy and I stayed there until about 8:30. I then headed back to the Ronald MacDonald house, and Betsy stayed overnight in her room.
She had a ok night...and then a rough morning, but by this afternoon she was doing much better.
We left Madison around 4:00 this afternoon under sunny skies, and temps in the mid 80's. By the time we got to Stevens Point the storm had just left, and it was in the 60's.
At least were home!
Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers!

Thanks dog.... was this the one from last week? If so I had heard about it but did not read anything regarding the details.
Happy family reunions there!

Good news, and prayers continue. Praise the Lord!
Trill had gall bladder surgery a while back, and it took her about 6 weeks to fully recover. Lots of TLC. ;>)
