Howdy, guys! I was wondering about what CD said, what with the thread being pulled and all...

Guys--I have a petition. I want to know whether you think it would be wise to use this in ZOT-ting. If I/we can get there early, and post a link to my petition, maybe the mods won't be so hasty to pull the threads.

What do you think? Is it a considerable move, or am I thinking of entering land I am not supposed to set foot in?

I lifted this from the National Weather Service, and a similar version served very well in the run-up to Operation Iraqi Freedom (even if Saddam and company didn't take the hint). Simply remove the test, and substitute the pertinent information in for the placeholders.

Greetings, fellow Viking Kitties!

I was searching on the internet for Viking pictures, when I came across this. It tells all of our wonderous past!

But I particularly wanted to call your attention to this section. On the left hand side, in green, are the Viking Symbols. Click on the first and work your way down. What if we could use these as our secret code? What do you think, friends? I could give you an example:

If we wanted to say that there was a giant troll that needed ZOTing, we could say:

,

Which means, directly, "Viking Kitties, Thurisaz[giant] Gebo[offering to the godsmods] Kenaz [flash of light]!"

Which could mean: "Viking Kitties, Giant Troll ZOT!"

What do you think?

I did tell my parents about the possible code. They just sighed and went, "oh dear god, the viking kitties". I'm having trouble convincing them that this is an educational experience for me :) .

No, you haven't done anything wrong; however, I do thing the secret code is a bit over the edge. Please note, this comment comes from an adult who takes prides in calling himself a "Viking Kittie". Somehow, I think This thread could be used in a study of Free Republic abberant psychology someday...

Howdy howdy, gang! Remember long ago when I won the photo contest and got a trip to Valhalla? Well, I finally got off my butt and got all my photos processed! I wanted to share with you my journey!

Here is the hotel room I stayed in:

I stopped at a theater to enjoy the fine arts:

I made a friend, quite by accident...

We then headed down (by his request) to the local Pub. Later, we called it a night.

The next day, we traveled to a festival in Valhalla. It was great! Here's the poster I bought:

I tell ya, I was dog-tired after that day. I tried to eat the food graciously set before me, but...

You can't see it very well, but "Valhalla Pure" is written on all the stuff.

Correction: That's paternity leave. My wife wouldn't want me changing my gender at this crucial moment in our marriage. It would be awkward to say the least.
